Amaechi's history of subservience to the north is there to see starting from his days as Rivers state governor and a major funding party to the APC. As minister for close to 8ys, Amaechi pandered more to the north. Amaechi is the preferred southern candidate that the cabal wanted to replace Buhari until the Emilokan Tsunami hit the APC primaries.


Even some obidient imbes in the SE will switch to Amaechi after dumping Obi as Amaechi will appeal to their tribalism wet dreams by deploying his usual 'I am an Ibo man from Rivers. Ikwere is Ibo " to get those ones in the yeast to support his candidacy .

One thing is sure and that Amaechi will ensure Obi ends up as a distant fourth place.

What I know is that Amaechi will do well in some core NW states but will fail woefully in the NE, NC , SS and SW .

Kwanwasso , Bala Mohammed and Atiku will be dragging the NW and NE but will have zero impact outside the NE and NW.

Obi will be relegated to his tribal enclave in the SE and will do woefully outside of it.

PDP SS and NC faction that will emerge will even adopt BAT as their candidate.

Their over ambition will not allow for such and will be the reason that the scenario of 2023 is repeated for the sole benefit of Tinubu.

Leave them, it is already a walkover for Tinubu. Those you mentioned are desperate power seeking politicians. Pdp and labour party chieftains and elected representatives have been moving to Apc unlike in 2014 where five serving governors and numerous federal and state lawmakers defecting to the newly formed Apc. Failure is waiting for them. Ameachi that has been rendered useless by Wike in rivers is the one to be the SDP presidential candidate.

I love the fact dt u said "who is expected to do one term and hand power back"; but is that reliable??

Jonathan sef that was supposed to do only thing one term and "hand power back" reneged on d pdp gentleman's agreement.

Will amaechi - or any other southern nigerian politician at that - agree be trusted to abide by a 'gentleman agreement' to do a single term - to complete the south's double term?? The answer is a capital NO!

The north that I know are more politically suave than the rest of the south combined.
Why will they risk an amaechi's (potential) 2 terms (2027-2035) when they could patiently allow tinubu runnout his remaining term (in 2031) and then d power returns to them (north) on a platter.

Trust me, the cabal won't take that risk!

Obasanjo wey do 2 complete term sef was still scheming to go for the 3rd, how much less an amaechi's single term.

El Rufai couldn't fully deliver Kaduna in 2023. The votes for PDP and LP outweighed APC votes. Amaechi doesn't seem to have a huge impact on Rivers politics right now. Miracles happen though.
