Charbliss90:The way you kids talk out is disheartening, there is no feature in the President's car that can not be equipped here in Nigeria. Most of the Landcruiser and Prado SUVs politicians uses were upgarded to VIP grades in Nigeria, I have handled sales of few of them myself. ProForce is a world class company and they handle modifications for many politicians and elites, so there is nothing wrong in the president driving a Nigeria made car. Leaders are supposed the lead by example not the otherwise. |

When a fool is silent, it helps. Aba is the biggest business hub in Nigeria. Do you know the implication of that? Abia enjoys steady electricity,do you know the relevance of that to business? Ceasarceasar: |

gofigurena:Local companies don't have the capacity to build a presidential vehicle for Nigeria, unless you are saying we have a manufacturer that's as astute as General Motors. |

Emeskhalifa:I believe in more Nigerian products than u, I don't just talk, I act it, my clothes from start to finish are all made in Nigeria, same as my shoes, any electronic that I can find the Nigerian equivalent that satisfies my needs in that particular equivalent, I go for Nigerian, I specifically choose Nigerian airlines, I specifically eat Nigerian foods, I don't talk because I want to talk, if u have a manufacturer that can produce a tailored made presidential vehicle to serve the needs the current one is serving, do well to recommend, I'm sure you don't even have any idea of the specifications of the current one. |

fasterwell:A presidential vehicle is not just bullet proof cars, rest, we live in a country where manufacturers will hire Indians to run ordinary vegetable oil production plant, same local manufacturers will hire foreign hands but the govt should be sIaughtered because the vehicle is imported. |

MasterJayJay:U can't get "any Nigerian car and p!mp it to" meet the standard of the presidential vehicle, most of u taIking don't even know what it entails. GM won't employ foreigners to build their presidential vehicle but Nigerian companies will employ foreigners to come and build the vehicle, the difference is clear. Nigeria don't have a brand that can rival those brands u mentioned. |

I think you've brought grossly underestimated us. We may not have a conglomerate as big as GM, but I'm pretty sure we can build cars fit for a president. JagabanBorgu: |

gofigurena:Do you really know anything about manufacturing in Nigeria? Nigeria is a country where local companies bring foreigners to spearhead productions such as production of vegetable oil. I would rather import the product than give it to a local company that will end up paying foreigners to do it. It's that simple, most of u arguing have no profound insight into manufacturing plants in the country. |

JagabanBorgu:Just read what you typed up there and see if you meet any sense Proforce is 100% indigenous and there is no caliber of blade proof cars they are not capable of producing or manufacturing In fact they will tell you to come with your specifications and they will make it a reality for you. So stop blabbing thinking you are making sense because it is obvious you are member of the ruling party and of course this didn't start with the APC If those spending the nations money cannot patronize locally made products holden do you expect to patronize locally made products |
| Re: Governor Otti Donates 24 Locally Made Vehicles To Abia Lawmakers by JagabanBorgu: 3:18pm On Mar 14, 2025 |
fasterwell:I'm not a member of any party, the fact that u càñ't reason without affiliating a discussion to party affiliation shows u need a mentaI upgrade. Those spending the money cannot patronize locally made products? So the vehicles ProForce is delivering to various military and paramilitary outfits in the country, who is it that's patronizing them? The problem with u lots is that u love yapping about patronizing local products but in real sense it's just talks, u are talking because u are bIinded by politics that's why u affiliated my submission to a particular political party. U are pàthètic my friend. So many so called local production outfits have foreigners spearheading them, as minor as vegetable oil, the owners bring in foreigners to spearhead productions, I will rather the govt import official cars than giving it to a local manufacturer who in turn give it out to foreigners, u can continue to moan those of u moaning barely patronize local products when it matters, to u lots it's about politics. |

Very funny. Even the GM cars aren't built from top to bottom in the United States. You've heard about the trade war going on right now, right? Trump's tariff on North America and Mexico, slamming 25% tariff on auto imports from Canada and Mexico, why? Is that because the US import cars from Canada? No. It's because the so-called "American-made" cars actually traverse the US/Canada and US/Mexico borders several times before the model becomes finished products. Do you know that more than half of FCA US (Stellantis), Ford, and General Motors models contain approximately 55% domestic content? The rest of the parts are sourced from overseas, including Canada and Mexico. A Tesla Model 3 is only 45% USA+Canada content and 25% Mexico. A Toyota Camry is 55% USA+Canada and 30% Japan. I'm bringing up these details because you emphasized Nigerian manufacturers outsourcing to foreign companies, which supposedly makes us unworthy. You then went on to say "some of us" don't have "profound insight into manufacturing plants in the country." And you do? Have you heard about Bennie Automobile? The Bennie Strenum sports car isn't merely assembled here. The guy designed, molded, and fabricated the car here. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the UK's University of Hertfordshire. My point, from the start, is that local talents must be relied on, trusted, tasked, and empowered for us to achieve self sustenance. You'd rather give the money to foreign companies? For how long? When will it end? Task Bennie with building a high-security vehicle for diplomats and let's see if he says "we can't do it." He'll ask for time and go to work. That's how a nation grows and stops being so danm reliant on outsiders and pseudo-colonists. And "some of you" boast of loving Nigeria.JagabanBorgu: |
