Student Visa is on pending for now, only genuine tourist and investors are welcome.

I am based in Mauritius and I worked in hospitality sector for 6 years.

Drop your questions here and I'll be glad to give you more information.
Are they accepting visa for work presently?

Christie , at the moment work visa in Mauritius is still possible to secure, but anything study visa for Nigerians has been put on hold for more han 1yr now except for some schools.

Like for example if you apply for a program in one of the biggest university in Mauritius and pay $5000 tuition fee complete, then immigration will allow you to pass through bcus paying that huge amount means your coming for study purpose .

But if you apply for a program in any backyard school for Mauritius , they won't give you the visa and even if they give you the visa, the might turn you back at the airport
What is the update for work visa presently?

I was enjoying this thread when it started till I read to the end and I discovered how Nigerians have done what they know how to do best again.

I was strongly hopeful before but I don't even know what to think again. Can one still get a visit visa or is that difficult also?

For the study visa, what are the chances of getting visa if I apply for MDX university?
Re: Mauritius Study And Work by Ajalalomo: 3:37pm On Jul 29, 2024

Can one migrate with dependent
Does studying there requires IELTS
Is the embassy in Nigeria?
Which school can you recommend for business related courses and cheap also?
How easy and fast is securing student visa?

Thank you

yes you have 90% chances, the school is popular and high tuition fee.

but note that , your people from home have to be sending you money for rent and school fees. dont even think to work here and be able to cover those expenses.

Once you get a professional Job in Mauritius. The company would process your resident/work permit and travel expenses(if it's included in contract)

You don't need to do anything. But ensure you don't have any blood disease, hence they will send you back.

Your family can join you within 3months.

He can earn up to 50k rps if he work as a PROFESSIONAL e.g software developer etc.

But he won't get up to 50krps, if he does unprofessional Job like hotel work, security etc.
Re: Mauritius Study And Work by Phrankher(f): 3:55am On Jan 29, 2025
How many percentage of Nigerians here in Mauritius are doing professional jobs?
All I'm saying is don't give the person too much hope.et them know the realities of things now. Plus it's not advisable coming to Mauritius again

About to make tuition deposit. What’s your candid opinion. I will really appreciate.

Someone please assist, how much is the proof of funds for one year which is expected for a Nigerian to have in their statement of account?

And please is it accepted to reserve a temporary accommodation in a hotel or in booking.com in Mauritius for visa application, or must it be a full year house payment?

Hello, a friend of mine got a professional audit job of 51k MUR, the location of the company is in Port Louis. Is this a good salary to live a comfortable life around this area? What's the current cost of living? Rent? Buying a car? and all those normal things in Mauritius. Please help with actual numbers for these, thank you.

It's a woman and I want her to live very close to office. I assume Port Louis will be very safe to live in. But will this money cover rent and cost of living ? Will she live a comfortable life as she has here in Nigeria.
