Now we know who does not want peace.

Wike wants to use this period to shop for people that will help him activate the impeachment of Fubara. The chief judge of the state will be tormented during this period, he wants to keep starving the people of Rivers state of funds so they can come against the governor, he wants the governor to crawl back to him, so he can give him conditions and continue to rule him again.

At this point, I will advice Fubara to approach the courts again, at least to get them to pass the budget

Simple answer! The budget as presently written does not include his access to the treasury of Rivers state

They want to create a trap for Fubara to fall into. By suspending sitting indefinitely, Fubara won't be able to present the budget and activities of the state will be put on hold. If he spends money that hasn't being approved, that is a clear impeachable offense. They are choking Fubara and making it nearly impossible for him to govern.

I don’t support godfatherism, but if Fubara was truly against it, why align with a godfather in the first place only to turn around and play games later? That’s nothing short of betrayal. You accepted the terms and conditions before.. so why make a U-turn and then cry foul?

Did he really think Wike would just sit back and applaud him? No, this is a battle he now has to fight, and it won’t be an easy one. Just ask Ambode and others who have been in similar situations.

The frustration has already begun, and 2027 is still far away.

Those supporting Wike because he is close and also ring Rivers elections for their god , could see he didn’t mean well for the state , if you guys could enjoy be a slave to just one man, check all past governors in ND no one of them is holding their state hostage. Just because Wike is a power drunk, using the judiciary to cause chaos in Rivers state because of his closeness to the President. From Cross River State, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta State, only have had the former governors having control of their state?
