Anambra Housing Commissioner, Onyeka Inspects Work At Fegge Specialist Hospital

The Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Pauly Onyeka has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done so far at the Specialist Hospital, Fegge, Onitsha.

Speaking shortly after inspecting the project, Hon. Onyeka, praised Governor Soludo for touching the core needs of the people through various interventions he is doing in the area of infrastructure, and appreciated the contractor for working according to the schedule.

Honourable Onyeka listed some other ongoing projects under construction in parts of the state to include: the Solution Fun City Awka, and the New Government House and Governor’s Lodge Awka.

From Specialist Hospital Fegge, the Commissioner proceeded to inspect the ongoing building of classroom block at Urban Secondary School Nkpor where he frowned at the contractor handling the project and ask him to do the needful in accordance with the job prescription and time schedule.

After Soludo, there will still be a lot to be done by the next administration.

Even in Lagos, there are still so many problems Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode, Sanwo-Olu have not solved. In this 2025, a problem as trivial as heap of refuse can still be seen in many corners of Lagos.

Mind you this is Onitsha South, in Onitsha north there is General hospital which was converted last year to federal medical centre, in Onitsha south which is densely populated especially Fegge lacked public hospital, except mission hospitals and private hospitals, so this is the first public hospital in Onitsha south built by governor Soludo, he built another one in Okpoko so far he has built five hospitals including very big Trauma Centre at COOUTH Awka, remodenised and installed 10KV to 20KV Solar Power to all the primary health centres in 326 wards in Anambra including boreholes, today the PHCs in Anambra enjoy 24hrs service and water, he also employed 500 health workers, also equipped the hospitals, declared free antenatal and free delivery services in all the hospital including caesarean operation, that's why Anambra State, was crowned the top champion in the South East and the overall winner nationwide at the second edition of the Primary Healthcare Leadership Challenge Awards, Anambra state was awarded a cash prize of $1.2 million in recognition of its exceptional performance by Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), Aliko Dangote Foundation, the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and UNICEF.

Onitsha general hospital is located in Onitsha north, which is now federal medical centre, this very one was built in Onitsha south
