Oga politician, go and reduce the price of engine oil and spare parts before you start talking what you don't know. Stop blaming transporters. Maintenance cost of vehicle is on the high side. |

Oga, you are talking to a man that less concerned about the citizens, his priority is to mop up money meant to entire nation for few people in his govt to enjoy maximally. |

LASG BRT just increased its price by supposedly 18% (which is actually more than that base on calculations) even though price of fuel is reducing. So how will the same Government call for reduction in price frow NURTW when the government controlled unit is increasing its own also at a time like this.

zero8zero:I totally agree with the Chief Submissions on this harrowing experience that the Masses are Suffering from the Nigerian Transporters but because most of our Politicians - uses them ,they turned themselves to lord too. They are very Mean, charges anyhow and very expensive and brutal as well. This is what Most APC Governors, Leaders- should be doing and is not about Party or Tribe We are very Selfish as human being! |

zero8zero:Nigerians are a very wicked set of people . Everyday I see the wickedness everywhere. You can’t do business and not have to worry that someone will try to rip you off . Let government reduce price to 50 Naira today. It will take them 3 months to stall then reduce under the excuse of consultation. I have said this before and I will say it again . You can’t do business in Nigeria and say you follow the tenets of Christianity to the Tee. I am more worried about doing business with my fellow Christians and my tribe ( Yoruba ) than other tribe and religion . At least those ones do not try to hoodwink you under the guise of ethnicity and religion. |

There can never be a fair price in unionism. Price is always set arbitrarily to favour members interest and not that of the public. |

That same transporter stays in same house where landlords too has increased rent, will the landlord also reduce his rent? Will the part seller reduce his part price? Will the price of rice reduce? Will that lady selling wig bring down her wig price? There are many things to be factored if he must bring down his price.... Dnt forget that it's not just petrol he spends his money on... His children School fees were also increased, will the school bring down school fees too bcus he choose to reduce his transportation cost? And will the companies that increased ur salaries slash ur Salary bcus the transporter decided to reduce transportation cost? |

| Re: Fuel Price Reduction: Onuesoke Blasts NURTW, Urges Tinubu To Call Union To Order by seborrhic: 9:20am On Mar 15, 2025 |
Infact, some of them have even increased fares despite the recurring fuel price reductions. Once said it,soon as fuel goes up by even ₦10,these people automatically increase fares, but even if it then goes back to lower than it was before the increase, they won't bring down the fares to even old rates! |

This man speaks thr minds of thr masses, but he doesn't understand that chronic inflation is multifaceted and not limited to fuel price. all Transporters are drained and slowly dieing by high maintenance cost, heavy import tariffs, massive exploitation by armed forces, high cost of living, and most painfully lack of funds or means to replace existing fleet. Fueling is just a component in the mix, probably less than 35% of total input. And if you are in some states and most LGAs, fuel is still selling above 920 contrary to the headlines. |

At least someone is talking, if only the government will be sensitive enough to think about me and the masses. |

TimeManager:At least try and read the comment directly above your post and gather some sense. As fuel price increased, every other thing increased. The reduction thereafter has not been significant enough to lead to price reduction of other parts needed in vehicles. This even goes beyond vehicles. Accommodation, feeding and all others have been astronomical. |

Fuel reduced, spare parts and cost of maintenance is still high. Cost of buying a vehicle is still high. |
