For context. Nigerias debt is around $100 bln and our yearly budget is around $35 bln
So how can our neighbour Niger be owing Chinese $350 bln just for oil?
And this eediot will call himself a journalist, reporting on financial matters with zero awareness of scale to know he's wrong. I don't even need to research to know those numbers are wrong.

I think inflation in Nigeria and how useless the money became has made people to lose basic sense of numbers. The problem is prevalent in every sector.
Every figure in Nigeria must start with billions. I wonder if they still teach Hundreds Tens and Units in primary schools, Maybe its now millions, billions and trillions

Took Natasha like 5 mins to submit her petition and according to them they didn't address the petition, so what time was wasted, and is that why she got a 6 month suspension? In the eyes of many, the ethics committee was acting under undue influence from Akpabio.

Stop the cap. Nigeria is a very rich country.

Nigeria's budget in 2006 was about 14.7 Billion USD and with our about 140M population then, that came to about $105 per person.

You can't compare the quality of life in 2006 to the quality of life today. It was with that $106 per head that we lived some of our best lives, that was our famous fake life era ...what changed?

What was the plague that befell the country that makes it impossible for people to afford the basics even at the $175 per head we enjoy today?

Was it APC? Was it Buhari/Tinubu?

BTW, I don't think you automatically call a country "poor" simply because their budget in USD pales besides another country, especially when the costs of basics in both countries differ greatly.

ALagos resident, Charles Chiawa, has been detained at the Ejigbo Police Station on the orders of his wife, Uche Chiawa, for allegedly taking a second wife.

A source familiar with the matter described what appeared to be a blatant abuse of police power, allegedly facilitated by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ejigbo Police Station, CSP Patience Osuagwu.

"Charles was detained at Ejigbo police station by his first wife on the allegation that he married another wife," the source said.

"I was told the first wife has connections with the woman DPO at Ejigbo, and she wants her husband to suffer inside the cell."

According to the source, efforts were made to secure Charles' release, but Uche reportedly blocked every attempt.

It's like a case of a kid facing bullying, face time they're confronted by the bully, they might shrug it off think it's a one-off, but when the bullying persists, they know a pattern has been established, and if they don't cry out their lives would remain hell.

Assuming Natasha isn't a jezebel that's simply lying, the scenario above applies to her situation.

Akpabio should have shut this case down once and for all by keeping things transparent and not using his influence in the senate to shut the case down unethically.
