It is a start.

It is up to the Burkinabes to make sure that it doesn't stop at just the attire - and that they also do all within their power to reform the entire legal system. If they succeed at this, they would have leapfrogged several African countries.

It is a start.

My only regret is that it is coup plotting soldiers who are superintending these changes. Nigeria is living proof that soldiers have never been and will never be the answer to this continent's challenges.
The best start for "challenging colonial relics" is to remove the court in it's entirety.
"The court" started after the French Norman Conquest it has never been an African way.

South Africa was the 2nd former British colony to abandon wigs, after the USA. That is before India, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and all other Commonwealth members.
Did you read the write up to understand my statement?

If as you suggest, we remove the formal, modern justice system today, what will replace it?

I don't remember suggesting to remove anything, I just told u that if u are ditching one part because it's "a colonial relic" then you should ditch all of it since the whole thing is actually a colonial relic, so direct ur questions to those who are bent on removing wigs simply because it's a colonial relic.

What is your point then? You just want to split hairs?

Are you trying to be saucy? This response doesn't say anything of value.

In my initial post to you, I genuinely wanted to find out if you have a superior arguement that we can all learn from. Your response shows you obviously do not.
