Applied to the university of Hamburg yesterday but I’m seeing here that the visa processing is tedious and it take years to get an appointment date.
Can I apply for a visa before I get an admission?

It's great to be back after a long break! It's been 5 years since I started my journey from here (Part 5), and I must say, relocating to Germany has been the best decision I've ever made. I haven’t gotten an AD yet but I feel it’s close
I don’t want anything to be amiss so if anyone can help me with a complete list of everything I need to submit at the embassy documents, what to know what not to know, amount to carry, everything. it would really be appreciated

Totally thankful to God that a journey of 28 months have ended in praise with my visa in my hands! 🙏

1. Appointment booked: Nov 6, 2022

2. Admission to TUM: Jul 13, 2023

3. Thought about deferring but then TUM introduced tuition fees after my set, deferring meant I'd join the next set to pay tuition. So, I maintained by admission by paying semester fees for 4 semesters (I almost gave up at semester 3 but God encouraged me)

4. AD came: Dec 19, 2024 (I already forgot I was waiting for AD 😂)

5. First interview: Jan, 21 2025 Was unprepared, asked to bring enrollment certificate for next semester (VO said it was an exception, I would have been sent home to start afresh)

6. Second interview: Feb 25, 2025 Completed interview, asked to submit extra documents

7. VISUM APPROVED: March 11, 2025!

It was a long 28 months of patience and trusting God's will and in the end it was worth it! Yours is the next!
