The Secretary to the Government of Rivers State (SSG), Dr. Tammy Danagogo, has letters were signed by him to Rivers Assembly during Nyesom Wike's administration.

Also he has cautioned that Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s peaceful approach to governance should not be interpreted as a sign of weakness.

Danagogo issued the warning amid ongoing criticisms from political opponents, particularly the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. The controversy stems from Danagogo’s role in Fubara’s administration, especially his decision to sign a letter inviting lawmakers for a meeting with the Governor. Wike dismissed the letter as “useless,” sparking further political tension in the state.

Addressing journalists during the commissioning of Okrika Grammar School in Okrika, Danagogo defended his actions, stating that writing such a letter was within his official duties and not an overreach of his position.

“There is nothing wrong with the SSG writing a letter for an informal meeting,” he stated, emphasizing that his role in the Fubara administration mirrors his duties under Wike’s government, where he also served as SSG.

Danagogo commended Governor Fubara’s composed response to recent challenges, particularly the closure of the state assembly complex, which prevented him from presenting the budget.

He pointed out that in similar situations, past governors might have taken drastic measures, but Fubara chose to maintain order and stability. “The Governor has shown remarkable restraint despite provocations. His approach is not out of weakness but a deliberate effort to maintain peace and stability in Rivers State,” Danagogo said.

The political crisis in Rivers State has intensified in recent months, with growing divisions between Fubara and his predecessor, Wike. The dispute has led to legislative gridlocks and accusations from both camps, further deepening the state’s political uncertainty.

The President should call the gladiators to order. They are heating up the polity already, the peace in that region is important and can not be over emphasized. If Rivers boils the whole South South boils and you know what that means to our economy.

If Wike feels the Governor he brought in isn't dancing to his tune again why not wait for the next election and you pull the plug since you said without you he is nothing. Practice politics like a gentleman.

People of Rivers you guys have a part to play in all of this, you don't need to sit on the fence or be two faced, pick your stand and make the world know.

People can see that the other party is not coming to equity with clear hands.
Surprisingly this guy was also the SSG during Wike s era as Governor. So he was privy to whatever happened during Wike s tenure.

Rivers State elders should call for resolution of this debacle. Honorable minister should just take things easy.

That some of the people serving Gov Sim that served Wike and put there tent with the Gov shows the kind of person he is. The guy is a man of peace like GEJ. He should continue with that peaceful disposition. It will do the State good.
Rivers State should be as a beacon of excellent politics not this rofo rofo fight

The supreme Court can now take judicial records of who don't want to obey it's orders the last time I checked the governor is ready to comply. These people are planning to burn down rivers state and it's not going to be funny I swear

What will be said of you igbos that aslick Wike for good seven and half years until he dumped Obi for Tinubu and you people begin to show your witchcraftness. Tinubu tried to bring peaceful resolution but same Fubara who listen to failures decided not to honour the now bone of contention, representing the budget. Haven't lost which many of us knows what will be the outcome in supreme Court, he now want peace because he knew the implications of he continued to listen to crisispreneurs and bitter and emotional people. Let there be peace in rivers.

There is no longer need cos if Fubara had listen to the peaceful resolution brokered by the president, he won't have find himself in this political tight corner. The assembly members are now tossing him around like ball cos they know they are at advantage. He allowed nzogbu nzogbu ways to derail himself. There is no were in the constitution that said a decampee loses is sit. He approached rivers court and get judgement against the assembly members but forgot it will be challenged to the supreme Court for clarification. Supreme Court did the right thing but as usual, cry victim mentality zombies want the supreme to say otherwise. Same supreme Court affirm his election as governor and they were good then but now that it favoured their now enemies side, they are calling the court all manners of name.
