If this girl produced atomic bomb and detonated it in Lagos killing thousands, the same way they are backing it now is the same way the would back her for bombing Lagos. As long as they are not in power and have no hope of ever leading Nigeria, whatever anyone says about Nigeria or the state of the president is ok by them. Is this how to be an opposition really? |

Angelfrost:Chief, I used to think I'm the only one, don't know there are people out there who are also in the dark about the kind of democracy practiced over here. Sadly enough, the majority of which are fools will still find a way to defend the inadequacy and the obvious failure of the current government which make Nigeria case exhausting. |

Nigerians are enjoying and eating a full three day square meal. No suffering in the land at all. Nigeria is now paradise on earth during Tinubu regime. So says Zombies.

The NYSC shares similarities with a military commission. You don’t make complaints public in a military commission. In a military commission you complain to your superior and carry out your commission as is. The alternative is to resign the commission. In the matter of the NYSC her complaints should be in-house and never public. |

Are there laid out NYSC rules she has violated? If yes let the appropriate sanctions be meted out to her. All this social media noise is futile. The NYSC Bye-Laws (Revised 2011) outline general codes of conduct that could apply. Specifically, two provisions are relevant: Section 3(ii)(e): Prohibition Against Being Rude to Constituted Authority The Bye-Laws state that a corps member shall "not be rude to constituted authority during the period of service." The President, as the head of state and a key figure in the government that oversees the NYSC, could be considered a "constituted authority." Calling the President a "terrible" leader in a public video could be interpreted as disrespectful or rude, potentially breaching this rule. The prescribed penalty for this offense is an extension of service for up to three months with half pay. Section 3(ii)(j): Actions Prejudicial to the Image of the NYSC Corps members are required to avoid "any act which is prejudicial to the good image of the National Youth Service Corps." Publicly criticizing the President in a manner that draws significant attention might be seen by NYSC authorities as tarnishing the program's reputation, especially since corps members are viewed as representatives of the scheme. This could also lead to disciplinary action, such as a service extension. In conclusion, by insulting the President, Raye may have violated NYSC Bye-Laws Section 3(ii)(e) for rudeness to constituted authority and potentially Section 3(ii)(j) for actions prejudicial to the NYSC's image. The NYSC's response—summoning her to appear before a panel—suggests they are treating it as a disciplinary matter, though no official ruling has been publicly confirmed as of March 17, 2025. -Grok to the rescue. |
