The NYSC shares similarities with a military commission. You don’t make complaints public in a military commission. In a military commission you complain to your superior and carry out your commission as is. The alternative is to resign the commission. In the matter of the NYSC her complaints should be in-house and never public.

Publicly criticizing the President in a manner that draws significant attention might be seen by NYSC authorities as tarnishing the program's reputation, especially since corps members are viewed as representatives of the scheme. This could also lead to disciplinary action, such as a service extension.

In conclusion, by insulting the President, Raye may have violated NYSC Bye-Laws Section 3(ii)(e) for rudeness to constituted authority and potentially Section 3(ii)(j) for actions prejudicial to the NYSC's image. The NYSC's response—summoning her to appear before a panel—suggests they are treating it as a disciplinary matter, though no official ruling has been publicly confirmed as of March 17, 2025.
