Anyway, the budget for this country is dependent on oil revenue. Tax is low because most of us are workers in the informal sector.

As a result we can't have a good life.

So government not collecting enough tax is me excusing government.

What we need first of all is vision just like any sensible government does. Everything else will fall in place gradually. Excuses and explanations are the reason we are still here

Also, we need a strong aerospace industry and good power supply before we can get to sending men and women to space.

And anyway we have built satellites that have been sent up to space.

Oil revenue is where we get most of our budget from. About 1. 5 m barrels per day which is not enough for a nation of 20 million self.

Most Nigerians do not pay taxes largely because informal sector is where they work

Govt should stop embezzlement .....

The money generated internally and our oil revenue plus small borrowing is enough to run this nation considering the government doesn't do much for the pple other than road projects they use to steal money...

There are no benefits for the unemployment, senior citizens, disabled, no free education, no free health care, no subsidy on anything.... You and Govt should stop complaining about taxes....

U don't seem to have an idea how much the three arms of govt consume and embezzle...

Many companies closed down.....yet u want more taxes....d only thing u will get is robbing the poor like, taxing the dead in mortuary, land use charge, which taxes buildings weda they are making money or not, stamp, charge, and ATM charges and so on.......because when pple don't have real income becos of bad eco omic policies .....u can't get real taxes

We are already paying more when all subsidy was removed while governors, judiciary and law makers are enjoying increased allowances and allocation.... U are the one that needs to grow up

Even if the government has 900billion dollars every month to spend....they won't give unemployment, disabled, senior citizens benefits, etc like advanced countries does, they won't offer free education or health care, or subsidy.mm... They are too wicked to do so.......their major initiative is road and palliatives during ramadam..
