It has outlived its relevance if there was any relevance attached to it in the beginning

Corp members being kidnapped, paying peanuts, and sending people’s children to dangerous places all in the name of serving this country makes the program even more worthless

You're right, EVs (cars, trucks, keke and bikes) would gain traction before CNG does. Saw an EV bike for around 3M in shoprite, and I'm sure that stuff will sell significantly less outside.

I never like NYSC while I was doing it and I still don't like it till date.

When I see people carrying the whole thing for head I'm always at a loss as to what exactly the fuss is about. It is just a complete waste of a full year of one's life where the government makes the most of it by exploiting a young graduate for cheap labor sef.

Even when one could still manage to save from the 19,800 back then sef, I will never be caught doing all those epic foooling that guy was doing twerking for politicians wey no send am.

I remember where I served, they gave us one yeye recommendation letter at the end of our service year and some of my fellow corpers were gassed thinking it is a door opening passport in the labor market since it is from a federal government owned institution . Las Las, everybody eyes later clear when dem enter streets

CNG may not gain traction in CONSUMER vehicles because most of us cannot afford to buy brand new cars

but for people with fleets of long distance trucks and buses, CNG is a no brainer.

the issue is a CNG network - which is what these mother and daughter stations will address

Lagos State is also building facilities where they plan to have CNG fuelled buses.

you cannot LEGALLY secure employment in corporate Nigeria without an NYSC discharge certificate

maybe in mushroom schools, or small companies . but you want to get a serious well paying job after school, they WILL ask for your discharge certificate

what i cannot say is if they demand it at executive level in the private sector

1) you cannot run for a political post without an nysc certifcate
2) we saw how our finance minister had to resign because she was deceived into getting a forged certificate \
3) it is one of those things that is not a big deal until it is a big deal, especially if you are chasing employment in a blue chip company
