As at 1999 even, that would have been true. I remember the days of the molues.

Tinubu came up and changed everything. He created the modern Lagos we have now. However, Onitsha, Owerri and Aba are now the king of dirtiestness.
Hello why are guys attacking Igbos , the lady in question is she an Igbo. why the hate on Igbos. So anybody that speaks ill against Lagos is automatically Igbos.

Igbo have brought many enemies for themselves, now their kinsmen who enjoy the civil service liberty in Lagos are been checkmated because of their foolishness

If properly investigate, the individual who wrote this on behalf of the government is not the real indigine og Lagos state. I wonder why Yoruba from another state think they own Lagos but igbo from another state a stranger.

nonsense statement. So because my car is faulty and dirty and smelly, I should abandon going to work or going out or ordering uber for work until I fix the car? Very stupid comments by very useless government officials

I don't understand.. What link does igbo have in Lagos?

As far as we are concern, any Yoruba from another state can choose to be a Lagosian while you igbos are easterners..... Ur village too far from Lagos...

U only a Lagosian to. Ur people in the village but to us Yoruba, u r just an igbo man dt came to Lagos..

Same way it is done in Ur state..

lol..mumu you see say you goofed big time...Lagosians that the world largely believes they are arguably the most hardworking and industrious people...Lagos is not for the weaklings...can you wake up 4AM daily an get back home at 10PM...you said we don't work lol...I laugh at your gibberish
When you said Lagos people it means the masses living in Lagos and not necessarily yorubas. The rest of the world view Lagos as a former capital of NIGERIA and they know that all NIGERIAN ethnic groups reside in the city

I don't like commenting on an issue that has this number of comments but I will comment on this one.

Lagos is really smelling. I have said it before now. I thought I was the only one that noticed it. Now,other people have said the same thing.

Lagos dey smell abeg. Deal with it or kpai.

Some criticisms, irrespective of the manner they were presented, are meant to be taken in good faith and used as a feedback mechanism for improvement. Not to be unnecessarily defensive and insulting. That Lagos is smelly is nothing anyone can hide and whoever tries to rationalize that is not ready for progress. I remember the first time I entered Lagos in 2002 for a gospel crusade, the smell that greeted me then at Ojota is something I can never forget. 23 years on and the smell is still very much there. The same 23 years in some other countries and you'll barely be able to recognise the landscape due to high tech infrastructural development!
Same way a truthful reply should be taken with any atom of spite. People should try to hold their own states accountable..

If you check very well this person making this type of tribal statement was not originally from lagos state, the truth is most places in nigeria smells some part of lagos inclusive, we have failed governments from top to bottom. Nigeria can't move forward with this type of tribal response to issues.
Whether he is from Lagos or not, in as mcuh as he is from South west of Nigeria, he has much right than you, an ìgbo man in Lagos.

Jsut as an igbo man in onitsha has more right than a fulani man in onitsha.

It's simple.. Respect peoples culture

No wonder lots of you don't work. You are hoping that one day they will collect all the houses from other tribes and hand them over to you because you are Yoruba. Hahahaha! You better delete this nonsense you typed. Even the sane yorubas are ashamed of your mindset. Let me shock you.; That dream of yours won't come true. Not in your life time and that of your children's children.
Only a phoool will say people don't work..

B4 u talk nonsense about Yoruba people, u shud summon courage to rivers people dt took over igbos properties and never returned them after the war.

Lagos can put a stop to this influx of outsiders by undoing the seaport marginalisation.

Ask FG to open Port Harcourt and Warri sea ports which has same capacity as that if Lagos and had Ben functioning before.

Then Lagos will no longer have the kind of population it has from outsiders

Absolute nonsensical rebuttal by the Lagos government! Lagos should use part of its famed 295 billion dollars GDP to build a global class sewage treatment plant.........So far Lagos state is part of Nigeria.....any Nigerian from outside Lagos or every anambra indigene has the right to relocate to Lagos or elsewhere! If you are tired of the Lugardian Union ..tell us, make we call it a day! Lagos smells and stinks ...do something about it!
Thanks for your comment. This is the reason people should not complain whenever there is demolition for the development of the city's Master plan.

Toyota (Matori), Mile2 to Okokomaiko, Okota to Ikotun are the next on line. Lagos is a low land and almost at sea level in most of the places. Also, most of the land were initially
swampy.

All the efforts made by previous government have been hindered with foul shouts of marginalization. This lady has just helped the government to fast track their sewage management system. No cry of marginalization during demolition would be entertained.

On thousands of buses entering Lagos daily and those leaving creating population explosion, as time goes on, there would be solution. People cannot just be migrating to Lagos anyhow. This is the reason El Rufai as FCT Minister destroyed squatters camp.

So those ones flooding Lagos from Osogbo and Ogbomosho doesn't stress the infrastructures in Lagos right? It is only those coming in from Anambra and Sokoto that stretches the Lagos infrastructures.

Afonjas hate truth, I'm not living in lagos but no one can deny our collective contribution to the development of lagos. When you collect tax from inhabitants of a city use it to make the environment comfortable for them not paying touts to shut people up.

Cardi B, when being accompanied by her fellow celebrities during her visit to lagos then, covered her nose, because of what? SMELL!

I know how much I'm paying for security and waste management in ibadan but these people are not using it to do what the money is being paid for.

It's unfair!

But southwest region is the most unproductive region of Nigeria. Economy of Lagos has always been a product of all ethnic groups in Nigeria. Because Tinubu became president of Nigeria, some SW revisionists began to rewrite history of Nigeria's Economy. They even publish flawed statistics alleging that the SW region is the breasbasket of Nigeria. How? Only Ondo state produces scanty crude oil. Oil and gas deposits from the southsouth and southeast have remained the mainstay of Nigeria's Economy.

Can't a corper express her views without mob action?
Don't mind them instead of them to use it as a feedback mechanism and expedite action this reminds me of David Easton's System Theory Analysis which he used to analyse political systems, that's how it is done in a saner clime. She is right Lagos is smelly not only Lagos though.

Check igbo dominated axis theb check Yoruba dominated axis in Lagos and tell me The people that are messing up lagos
mumu man, yeebos are called pigs for a reason….go to ladipo or Alaba? In the time past the government have had to close those markets due their dirty and pig nature.

And btw there is nothing like ibo dominated axis, every part of Lagos still have majority of Yorubas and they are still the highest landlords in Lagos grin f*cking land grabber.

Even your markets in the yeast like aba and onitsha market are still the dirtiest market in Nigeria grin those are market dominated by yeebos grin

People from different countries live in America making their money and sending back home and nobody threatened them so far they have their papers. I wonder why you people are so pained that other tribes live in Lagos, people of the same country as yours. Is the presidential office not in Abuja. The rich oil states are they not in Southeast and South South? What sort of myopic thinking do you people have to question the existence of other ethnic groups in smelling Lagos?. If you like you can go to Kano or Abuja or Portharcout and live there as a Nigerian. If you want others ethnic groups to come to Lagos with papers then let's divide the country. If I want to come to Lagos I will get my Visa. But Yoruba people are afraid of Igbos having Biafra but still angry that Igbos are moving freely in Lagos. No be juju be that?🤣
yorubas afraid of ibos having Biafra?🤣🤣🤣🤣 is that the lie you clowns use to console yourself in your evil forest?

Even during regional government, western region was the most progressive region, even your ancestor azikiwe wanted be a premier in the west grin

The greed and covetousness of the average yamree have always be documented grin nwokem, don’t delude yourself….you need us more than we need you grin

That’s why the trend of migration have always been from east to west grin no one migrate to that shitty region, only yeebos live in that evil forest grin
