All major bridges, airports, ports etc were built by the fg 100% in Lagos. Osun indigenes should focus on Osun

You have no counter argument. This is a fact.

DMerciful:
The challenge for you is that any law passed by Lagos to exclude Imo indigenes automatically excludes Oyo indigenes. Nigeria operate states constitutionally and not regions.

There is no Lagos law that can help Osun indigenes that will not automatically help Kogi indigenes. Other Yoruba states indigenes keep talking about Lagos as if they're Lagosians
That's fine by us. Make everybody bear their papa name.

Those in Itsekiri and Ondo are yorubas. The Yorubas are the 2nd largest producers of oil in Nigeria. Then again, most are already moving to IT (New money) anyway.

cheesy

That's a very good one from the people's governor.
Now let's start with Exxon Mobil where the cr*minals Yorùbas dominated. Getting a direct tickets and employment from Lagos then post into the state. With charms they can even eliminate the indigenes of the state who may stand of their way.
A company the indigenes will go to seek for employment they will ask to go to Lagos and apply from there.
An igbo wants to attack yorubas but he doesn't want to attack us directly.. So he opened a new account with an akwa ibom name, so he starts to attack Yoruba...

He doesn't know dt we know he is an igbo man disguising as south south grin grin grin grin grin

Watch and see how the igbo man will be quick to. Deny this grin grin

Have you been to Alausa before?

95% of civil service jobs are already being done by non indigenes.

Non indigenes from Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun with a sprinkle of a few from Anambra, Delta, Edo etc.

Lagos is not Akwa Ibom. There are not even enough indigenes to take up the jobs.
Lol who told you there are not enough indigene to take the job?

Lol Na with time

I know lots. Some are even directors. Even the deputy chief of staff is Urhobo. But all that will be gone with sanwo olu with the rise of conservatism by the indigenes of the state.
This is what I keep drumming into their 'one Nigeria' ears yet they will never listen let alone prepare for what is inevitable. The struggle for scarce resources will only result in the rise of conservatism and protectionism.

Why then not prepare proactively for what is coming so as to use such positively? What is wrong with the concept of using the "charity begins at home" ethos to develop every corner of Nigeria?

Check out the tribe that makes up the bigger population of oil workers in akwa ibom and you will find out who this will affect the most.

If You think most Igbos in other states depend on paid employment then you are obviously naive than I thought

Governor your efforts are purely wasted if ExxonMobil and sterling oil cannot be forced to relocate their headquarters to AKS

Akwa ibom even took it a step further. For both private and public, it's akwa ibom indigenes first and its even backed up by their state laws..
Such a policy won't fly. What about expatriates that most of these multi-nationals bring in?

This ethnicity and tribalism is a BIG problem for Africa.

Now...just think...

There are several people from Akwa Ibom states in the employ of various states' Civil Service. How about those states terminating their appointments?

The inability to put in place well-thought out policies is the greatest undoing of government at various levels in this our own country!!! huh

Of course Lagos will "survive". She might have to adjust to a period off change, but she will surely survive. Did she not survive when her population was 12 million around 1999?
Bros, people have not left Lagos o,in my former area all the houses have been sold off to non indegenes. How will Lagos landlords survive without rent many sectors will be seriously affected.I know some day other states will wake up.its just a matter of time.

This is another great point you highlight. The Yorubas want to move towards an economy where personsl skill and productivity, via optimal development of human resources, creates development.

As Britain and most European nations, without much oil or mineral endowment, have achieved successfully. This is why they lead in STEM (science, technology, Engineering and mathematics) while we are still crudely dependent on the West for everything.

Yorubas have seen the future and it is why they are now irretrievably committed to regionalism while the likes of the SE and North remain obsessed with the Presidency, "sharing formula" and oil income.

The useless country needs to break already.

Igbos need to sit up and rapidly plan all dimensions. Plan on how to run a serious Igbo society, not by archaic ways, except those archaic ways are good for progress.

He can say this, but let us microscope if he will discriminate against the indigenous igbos there.

This post is misleading. The governor stated that Akwa-Ibom government is establishing a portal for indigenes where recruiters can access the profile of prospective indigenous candidates so that businesses can prioritize indigenous candidates in their recruitment process. He never said that recruiters should not hire external candidates.
All these oluwole media and fake disparaging news eee!

Oga stops saying nonsense.

Most oil company workers in uyo especially multinational oil workers are dominated by Yorubas. If the governor is serious about it and implement it, most you will go back to your region.

Imagine if the South South states oil rich State like Rivers and Delta implement the laws and ask oil companies to employ only their people. I swear most yorubas staff will be fired in mass cheesy

Na una go loose. Shebi una do start to ronu. Oil rich SS states will also ronu to and chase you people out that are taking their work slot in oil companies operating in their states.

It's only South western civil service that employs people of other tribes.

This last 2 years has taught us a lesson.

We don wise up now
Make una advocate for the country to be divided. This way, you won't have to be sharing your civil service jobs with other regions
