Congratulations, I was offered an admission in 2024 summer session by the deggendorf institute of technology. And I keep paying my semester contribution fee, I have done it three times, and now I am waiting to be called for the interview. I used German embassy Accra Ghana due to longer waiting time through Naija. I applied since December 4th 2024 and was giving 14th to 16th weeks for a mail to be sent as regards to my actual appointment date and time. I hope my inability of not joining class since March last year won't be an issue

Does anyone know universities in Germany that does English language Waiver? I have a letter of English proficiency from my school already. I would appreciate if anyone here knows a university that accepts English language waiver. Please drop the name (s) 🙏 Thank you

what i mean is after you have completed your visa appointment, how soon before you get AM from the embassy for CAT B. I know CAT A get their AM in a one week.

No it’s not going to be a problem provided you already secured a sufficient admission and you go with the admission letter to the embassy during your interview you’re good to go…also we have a gc for naij students going for Studienkolleg let me know if you’re interested in joining

Hello everyone,

I am currently seeking advice regarding Studienkolleg applications, as I have faced some rejections in my previous attempts. I would greatly appreciate connecting with others who are also pursuing this educational path or have successfully completed the process. So i get one or more ideas.

Little Background

- WAEC Certificate
- B1 Goethe Certificate.

Currently, waiting for my B2 result.

Staatliches Studienkolleg via Technische Univeristat Ilmenau
Studienkolleg an der HTWG Konstanz.

Are you sure you didn't have missing documents? Konstanz I'm not sure of, but I've never known Studienkolleg Nordhausen to reject people. Perhaps your WAEC score isn't sufficient? Which course are you going for?

I did not apply directly to Nordhausen, I appleid through TU Ilmenau. Can you shed more light on that. Maybe i went about it wrongly

That's how it's supposed to go, you apply at Ilmenau or any other university in the state, they check your documents and your application is sent to Nordhausen, you don't send any application to Nordhausen themselves.

The only reasons I can think of for a rejection is if
1. Your WAEC scores are low or
2. You picked a course that doesn't align with the subjects you did in WAEC

Okay, Most likely reason number 2. I mean i have science background and i applied for BSc. Biomedical Technology.

Biomedical Technology could be T or M kurs, but if you're a science student you should have all the required subjects (maths, physics, chemistry, biology)

During my research i saw that it was classifed as an M-course. I attached my result

Hmm, strange. Did they provide you with a reason for your rejection? What are your scores in your B1 exam? And did you give them the details to check your result?

Their response was that they cannot go into the real reason why it was rejected at this moment. Saying you are welcome to apply to another course

I can't think of a reason as to why you would have been rejected.

Odd. Are you sure you followed the correct application procedure for both?
