A 40-year-old Nigerian man identified as Chicka Abajuvo, along with one other suspect, has been arrested by the police in Wayanad, located in the northeast of the Indian state of Kerala for drug trafficking.

PUNCH Metro learnt on Sunday that the suspects were apprehended in the district just days after authorities busted a drug racket based in Bengaluru, leading to the arrest of Tanzanian national, Prince Samson.

According to Onmanorama, an India-based news outlet, the Wayanad police arrested the 40-year-old Nigerian alongside Sandeep Malik.

The report stated that “the duo was allegedly in cahoots with Samson, who was arrested earlier.” It further noted that Sandeep is reportedly a student in India.

The report continued, “Sleuths from the Sulthan Bathery police and the anti-narcotics wing of Wayanad police arrested the duo in a midnight operation.

“The police team, led by Sulthan Bathery Station House Officer NP Raghavan, raided a flat in Bengaluru and nabbed the two accused involved in trafficking drugs to Kerala.”

During the raid, the police recovered mobile phones, laptops, and several documents linking the suspects to other operators.

The report further revealed that a total of four individuals had been arrested in connection with a drug trafficking case registered in Sulthan Bathery in February.

“The drug racket has been involved in smuggling various drugs, including MDMA, into the state from Bengaluru. Authorities have also tracked large money transactions in many accounts associated with the suspects,” the report stated.

The first arrest in the case reportedly took place on February 24, when a man identified as Shefeek, a native of Cherumukku, Malappuram, was caught with 93.84 grams of MDMA during a vehicle inspection at the Muthanga checkpost.

Shefeek was a key link between the racketeers in the Malabar districts and drug peddlers in Bengaluru,” the report noted, adding that the investigation remains ongoing.

PUNCH Metro reported the arrest of two Nigerians for a similar crime in the Delhi region of India in 2023.

At the time, a Special Cell of the Delhi police dismantled a three-man international drug cartel involving two Nigerians and a Sierra Leonean, who were allegedly supplying banned substances across India.

The police reportedly seized 6 kg of the hypnotic drug methaqualone and 2 kg of heroin” from the suspects, identified as Paul Joy from Sierra Leone and Peace Ilobe and Stephen, both from Nigeria

Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.

Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.

His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.

The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993

It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.

Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.

He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.

“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’

Jamie248:
India is under full development plan grin
Na so o.
By tribesmen like you.
Oya clap for yourself.

edet19892015:
Unless you understand your role in society, you can never make any meaningful contribution.

According to the Greeks, they are three types of people on Earth,
1. The idiots,
2. The tribesmen, and
3. The citizens.

Studies show only 10% of Africans are citizens.
The remaining 90% are either tribesmen or idiots.

1. When the Greeks used the word "Idiot", they did not use it as a curse word.
Idiots are people who just don’t care.
If they sit for exams, they will cheat.
If they are in government they will steal.

An idiot does not care at all, if he eats bananas he throws the peels anywhere instead of putting them in a trash bin.

IDIOTS won't attend monthly neighborhood meetings. They won't pay security dues. They won't contribute to community development. Even when they see or know about something that will harm others in the community they won't report it. When they see/know/have something that will benefit their community they won't share.

In fact, Idiots don't care to register for or vote in an election, yet they complain the most. If they register to vote, IDIOTS will sell their votes for peanuts.

According to the Greeks, some societies have more idiots than tribesmen and citizens.

2. The next set of people are "Tribesmen", these are people that look at everything from the point of view of their tribe.

These are people that believe in you only if you are part of their tribe.
It can be terrible to have a tribesman as a leader, he will alienate the rest.

When the Greeks talk about tribes, it’s not just about ethnicity, they also consider religion, gang membership, group membership, party membership and even cult membership as a tribe.

A great percentage of Africans are tribesmen, because they view everything from the point of view of their tribes. They trust only their tribesmen

3. The last group are "Citizens".
These are people who like to do things the right way.
They will respect traffic light rules even if no one is watching them.

They drive within speed limits.
They respect the laws, and won’t cheat in exams.
In government, they won’t steal.
They are compassionate and give to others to promote their well-being.

Citizens often promote projects that benefit everyone.
The Greeks called this group "The Citizens".

Some countries have more citizens than tribesmen and idiots, others have so many idiots.

A tribesman can become a citizen through orientation.
And an idiot can become a citizen by training and constant enforcement of the law.

But things fall apart if you elect an idiot or tribesman to lead you if he has not been reformed.

Where do you belong? Are you an idiot, a tribesman or a citizen? Reflect on your life.
Reflect about your immediate community, city, state and nation.

The problem is that Indians are as corrupt as Nigerians , These drug peddlers do not go to jail if they have enough money for settlement and that is why you keep seeing more cases like this.

Infact they have a fix amount of money you can use to bail yourself from drug related offences. But if you kill a cow in india, there's no bail for you even if you have dangote's money. Trust me I've been to india, this is firsthand info.
