In case you've not seen money before, N2m isn't what it used to be when you were growing up.

Stop calling an amount of money that cannot buy Keke Napep "wealth".

Ciao!
It seems he's still single.
Marry first and come back and say the same thing.
What is 2m in this present day country??!!

Even as a single, 2m has no value again than a microbusiness as you said.

Rest biko.....

There are people that 2m will change their life if given...... Might not buy what you think it will... But will certainly make many people wealthy......

I won't reply your comment.....you don't strike me like a reasonable person.....
You are not far from the truth…

N2m isn't "wealth" but the intent behind your post is nice 👍🏾

$1,300 USD is just something to cope with or start a micro (not even small) business with. Even in Naira, 2m is basically survival money.

It is well though.
The elderly man is looking to buy Range Rover, he’s not buying designers, he’s not going to the expensive shoppings and eateries, he’s not buying latest iPhones…

These elders in the village just need money to feed, some of them…. Live on less than 30k a month and they are fine

Anyone can start any business with any amount, but the definition of wealth based on N2m reeks of pure illiteracy.

2m cannot rent a shop in a lot of places in Lagos...
Ordinary keke napep is around 4m naira.

If the definition of wealth is just a little above 1k USD then most people here haven't seen any money in their lives.
stop using your own realities to judge others or definition of wealth.

Even if you have 200million in your account at the moment, you are still a poor rat to some people, because your 200million cannot buy a decent house on banana island.
Same way his 2million cannot buy Keke, but some people wished they had that 2 million.

Only 5% of Nigerians have 500k in their account.

2million is a wealth to that old man that probably never had anything close to that amount all his life and you could see from the happiness on his face.

The 2million can set him up for life is he spent it judiciously.

Farming alone can triple that in a single year if he is lucky enough.

How is 2m wealth?
I won't be surprise if na 9 to 5 you be and have little to no knowledge of what it even take to run a business. In this current Nigeria, 2m can only start you a micro business sir

And you don't think that you can sustain such business to a more wealthy enterprise?

You people just want to act rich online.....

In real lifes you beg to sub and to move from one point to another ... But on social, you quote people as of you've already made it in life......

But I won't even bother to look further.....

As far as you've accepted that you can start something with 2m, it means you can built a wealth with 2m....

2m is no wealth sir. In less than a year it will be exhausted.
Do you understand the meaning of wealth?

If he ventures the money into poultry, he can grow into a bigger farm and into being a supplier.

Stop seeing 2m as a chicken change because you can't easily afford it....

2m usually looks like wealth until one starts earning it. Then it looks like poverty. We gon go for 5m. Me sha want 2m monthly salary this year. I am working my ass off maybe I can get something close to it. I ain't giving up.
Dude, if you do business with two million, you can't remain with that as you're counting in your profits... You're growing massively with it.

Wealth is all about sustainability and growth.

Soon as you run out of it, you become poor.

Also, don't sound like you're making anything close to 200k monthly.... Let alone saying you're going for 5m.

Do you think, 2m monthly salary is an easy job?

The title says "Nigerian" but because the name suggests a Yoruba man you are quick to wish him well, would you have done same if he were to be an Igbo man? Oniranu, nairaland residential tribal bigot.
As a tribal bigot that you are..... My message had to make you feel miserable.....

That's how a video of a Nigerian boxer and a Ghanaian boxer surface and on the comment section, innocent Nigerians where praising the Nigerian guy for winning... You Igbos flooded the comment section calling the guy an Igbo man because he put on isiagwu or whatever you call that outfit.....

I was very disappointed and felt bad.... You people are quick to play this tribal game and also act like victims....

Maybe is me not knowing how to do business sha. I have been doing business for 5 years, but I usually recorded losses in the long run one way or the other. So far so good, it has been my salaries that I can boast of saving me. Well, who knows if I'll one day turn out as KFC owner who had his first breakthrough in business at 60+, because I ain't giving up on business until one of them will blow me up.

200k is not money o. If that's what I'm still earning at the moment, with a wife, a kid and a 3 bedroom flat neat apartment worth 1m yearly, then depression would have set in big time for me. Like how do I maintain such standard of living? I earn a little below 1m monthly at the moment but it's far from enough aswear. 2m is also not my standard, but I can manage it for a while. My aim is 5m and my target it remote jobs, especially teaching English as foreign language. Fullstop.

You should look into what you'll easily achieve better around your environ.....

For instance, where I stay, I've seen people venture into poultry and supplies of agric products.....

My friend is into layers and he's doing very well.... He's planning to add pig businesses to it ...

I pray o.
You don't believe that ordinary citizens can earn close to 1m in Nigeria? Let me tell you my own route? Staying on the island, working for a big school and doing private lessons online and offline non stop. Walking on the road and doing two online lessons with two different phones while going to my offline lessons. Mute my audio when one stupid car is coming with a loud blare. Unmute again and continue teaching. That's the way o, before Teriibu Eleriibu Tinubu will come and render someone useless to his upcoming generation.

You're even a teacher?

Never heard that teaching can make someone afford a standard living the way you're putting it...

Anyway..... I wish you good luck 🤞🤞

Check for salaries of schools online. Check out Corona Schools, GREENSPRING, etc. Glass door will tell you their salaries. It will shock you to the bone how much they pay.

Definition of wealth is relative. It's not always about being able to live in Lekki, drive expensive cars, wear expensive clothes and eat assorted meals. I'm sure if you as 10 different people what been wealthy means to them now, you'll get 10 different answers.
Wealth is just like the abundance of money at your disposal. For the man in question, 2m 3 years seems like it.

You can run a micro-business with 2m or less, even with a few hundreds of thousands: running POS services, selling recharge card, selling derica of rice and beans etc inside a roadside container shop...

These are businesses that can give you N500 to 5k profit daily, at least you will have something to eat, but you wanna run a real business with reasonable daily turnover, you need nothing less than 10m.
Baba please I want to ask, please suggest business I can invest 10m on

I wonder how you come up with this.....

But while growing up, many rich and wealthy people today use lottery or loans to start up investment or companies that has been sustainable till date.

2m is wealth to someone who wants to go into farming or agriculture that can literally set them up for life......
capital, not wealth!

If you studied business or economics, you wouldn't get things mixed up like this.

Wealth is the total value of all assets owned by a person, community, company, or country.

Having 2m as your entire asset is wealth.... Except you meant riches!
