By telling a lie that she was victimized, she has blown a simple case that has given her negative publicity. She'd enjoy the fame, then what next?

Being a presidential aide Mr Ajayi ought to have understood the media terrain and be very careful in using words. Anyways, I believe that he has learnt some lessons.

No, school is not a scam. Many of us are just so much in a rush to be heard and expose our own limitations. The presidential aide had no business talking about this matter. He is even giving the girl more relevance to go and seek asylum abroad that the Nigerian government threatened her life. It is NYSC matter. NYSC have their media people and PR experts. That a presidential aide put his mouth tells us the amount of time on their hands.

Capital punishment in criminal justice means death
Capital punishment under NYSC means expuslion.

Nigeria’s inflation fell to 33.40 percent in July 2024 from 34.19 percent in June on a year-on-year basis.


This is the first time the country’s inflation has cooled down since December 2022 when it stood at 21.34 percent.

The National Bureau of Statistics disclosed this in its latest Consumer Price Index and Inflation for July released on Thursday.

This represents a 0.79 percent decline compared to the 34.19 percent recorded in June 2024.

The decline was in line with the expectations of Financial analysts who projected that the country’s inflation would cool off from July to August.

“The picture is that the rate of increase in price level has begun to slow. Hence we are projecting that information will begin to decline from July to August”, the Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives said in June.


CBN governor, Olayemi Cardoso had earlier assured that the Monetary Policy Committee would do everything to tame inflation.

As part of measures to ensure inflation is tame, CBN through MPC has continued to raise interest rates.

The latest was in July when it raised the rate by 50 basis points to 26.75 percent from 26.25 percent in May.


Additionally, the Nigerian government had recently introduced fiscal measures including zero import duties on selected staple foods to tackle inflation.

Also, recall that Defence Headquarters recently said that it had deployed its troops to farmsz especially in the North East and North Central to ensure a hitch-free farming season in Nigeria.

There are channels to go through to make your grievance known. You write letters and the government takes it up....

Infact, you can't take up cases to court directly..... against the agency you're serving.

The government has set everything under control for workers to air their mind through and it works if you follow protocols.

My promotion arrears was not paid to me and it lasted for two years and I followed up through the channels and I received my money last two months and believe me...... If you do follow-up, the right channel will always work out.

We followed the right channel for our father's pension fund to be paid. It didn't get done. They claimed he was dead even before he was near death. They kept eating his money while he was alive. You were lucky your own channel came through after like two years. 99% others didn't get that lucky.
