Obaofaba:
Dangote didn't just love the south West because of it's sea access, after all, there is sea access in the south south. South West represent Nigeria's most civilised region.
Just name it, from security, productive youth, raw materials accessibility, urbanisation and large market which is proximity to other regions.

Sentiment aside, why will I have an opportunity to invest in south western Nigeria and will choose waring south east where everything can be brought down in two hours by the order of one idiot in the UK.
you mean now in DSS underground jail?

A
kudos to Dangote effort of industralizing Nigeria. Dapo Abiodun did well by putting in place a friendly environment. Dangote is in the process also to built the largest port in the country as a private citizen but my people from south east keep complaining of federal government not developing a seaport for them. Arthur Eze is the richest easterners, you guys should go and beg him to build a seaport in any of part of the region and stop building a hotel in Enugu airport. He made money from government, under IBB and he openly said so during the book lunch by the maradonna. Everything shouldn't be victim mentality. Why are no other Nigerians not even interested in investing in south east hugely. Could it be due to instability or seceding mentality. Even forigners are also not interested too

The governor also lauded Dangote for the ongoing construction of Sagamu Interchange to Papalanto describing the road as very critical to economic growth and prosperity of the state.
All the anti-Dangote people and IPMAN should get this memo on nation building.
Ogun State is the next mega investment frontier in Africa after Lagos State.

Invest in Lagos and Yorubaland today.
May God bless Nigeria for ever!
The Gov forgot to mention the Ala to Omu Ijebu dual carriage concrete based road in Odogbolu local council that dangote is constructing currently.

As for former gov Ibikunle Amosun, it's only God that can forgive him.

Do you really understand what a monopoly means?
Where is the so called "Dangote monopoly" in the importation or production of rice, cement, petroleum?
The truth is Dangote takes huge risks to invest heavily, and the bigger the investment the higher the potential of dominating the industry/sector and the rewards (profits, market share etc) that come along with it.
Other investors too should invest heavily like Dangote if they do not want him to dominate their industry or sector. Simple !
I don't understand how you people say these things !
You have said it all. When you invest 10m dollars for example and another investor invest 10b dollars, the brainless guys want their production and trade volume to be same. You have summarize it. Dangote is a big risk taker. Look at the refineries and what he still even facing till now. When those our guys keep complaining, I just laugh at their foolishness. Obaseki started a seaport and federal government gave him all necessary approvals but Obaseki didn't do his homework about how he will raise money to build the port. It is capital intensive, he was now urging Edo big guys to invest when they don't even trust him. Oshiomole brought dangote to invest in cement production in okpella Edo state and it's is a huge success, just like BUA too. The federal government is not denying anybody from any part of Nigeria not to develop seaport. If you people are waiting for government to develop one for you, then you will have to wait till the next generation.

Because Ogun has enabling environment, has proximity to best markets which is LAGOS. Ogun has land unlike Lagos.

Very Interesting 🤔.
But why was Amosun doing all these to those that wanted to make Ogun State great by not allowing them to invest?
Was he not also the one that pushed -the Dangote Refinery to Lagos State ,in the first instance?
This same Politician,is still a Senator in Ogun State, yet his mission is not in tandem with what we should be proud of- but if to see them in Buhari's birthday party, they go there or any changes in party,we see the Politicians running helter and skelta, with different Agenda.
Alh Dangote has come to say this and lament - by specifically, Calling on what happened then because a business that should have been Completed a long time was pulled down, yet the actors are still around- thereby losing Money 💰,Time and Energy - as time is Money.
This how some of our Past governors, past Ministers, past Executive and Legislatures do in Nigeria!
-This is Why Many States in Nigeria are Poor today- because of the unfriendly Acts of Past State actors -;East, West,North and South of Nigeria.
They add more problems to the States, instead of living a beautiful legacy.
-Who bears the Consequences of not Investing -in these States :
- the Youths - with No Employment,-
-the Masses - with Nothing like Health Care Delivery,No good Roads,No New Companies to Embark on,No Industrial Developments - for the States in Nigeria.
-What was the Former governor intention- is it that Certain Local Govt- of the State should Not develop ni or by Investing there?

The answer is very simple, weakocracy. Government of the weak by the weak for the weak.
Nigeria is neither capitalist, communist, nor socialist. What it practices is Weakoconomy—an economy run by weak, uncreative parasites who hijack government power to enrich themselves while the truly hardworking and intelligent struggle against systemic sabotage. These leeches allocate oil wells to themselves, hoard national wealth, and then have the audacity to flaunt their stolen fortunes, mocking those who grind daily for success.

Dangote, for instance, has been handed monopoly after monopoly—on rice importation, cement production, and even fuel importation, courtesy of NNPC. Not because of exceptional business acumen, but because the system is rigged to create state-sponsored oligarchs who pretend that no billionaire can emerge without government blessings. Meanwhile, real entrepreneurs are crushed under policies designed to keep them from rising.
The monopoly narratives when it comes to the dangote conversations is becoming stale abeg, Dangote is the only industrialist who takes high risks to invest in sectors many are afraid to go into. And with high risks comes high reward.

So Chinedu, are you now saying those acclaimed Igbo billionaires made their monies without government supports? Where and how did Arthur Eze (the richest man in Igbo land and the richest man in the whole of Nigeria according to you), Peter Obi and the rest made their wealths?
I know you are going to deny and start vomiting more mumu talks but Eze himself admitted to making his money during Abacha regime, same for Obi. So where is all this “without government’ blessings” coming from?
Do you even know what a monopoly is? Just recently, the federal govt released another list of those already given the licenses to build more refineries, who is holding them? It’s nobody’s fault that you acclaimed billionaires enjoy and prioritize building hotels and beer parlor joints over important things and infrastructure😏 It’s not our fault Chibuzor.

The late Governor Agagu caused it. Before coming to Lagos to establish his refinery, he approached him but he chased him away with the kickback he requested. Dangote Refinery would have been sitting pretty in the shore of Ondo State now

It could have been in Rivers state, but Fubara and Wike are busy fighting each other.

The governor of Akwa Ibom is busy building an 18-story skyscraper in Lagos state at the expense of the Ibom deep sea port.

Since Donald Duke left Cross River State, there has been no visionary leadership in Calabar to build the deep-sea port.

Aliko Dangote is a true Nigerian patriot.

His investments across the country and his commitment to self-sufficiency in key commodities are commendable.
As I always tell people, if we have two DANGOTE in Nigeria, Africa would have developed more than it is. I am not sure it is possible to have two DANGOTE presently, maybe in the next 50 years.

AMOSUN! AMOSUN AMOSUN AMOSUN AMOSUN AMOSUN. I think AMOSUN and OBASANJO must come from the same Egba sub tribal group called OWU . OBASANJO frustrated the expansion of Lagos Free Trade Zone and others in South West. We have heard stories of how DANGOTE Refinery was frustrated out of Ogun State by AMOSUN, demolition of Cement plant, wrongful termination of Chinese Consortium Contract leading to confiscations on Nigeria assets, the Pat Utomi saga, etc.

Please, is AMOSUN also an OWU man just like OBASANJO?

If that Refinery had been constructed at Olokola, that Seaport would have been constructed or under construction by now.
