This absolutely rubbish.

If the so-called federal government wants to do something for ndi Igbo and lovers of Igbo they should release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and stop insecurities in the East. Before these fake promises of refinery, we as the people have been excelling without their intentions.

No project or empty promises from the demonic government can be greater than releasing our Mazi Kanu to us.

The HSI 5,000 bpd Owaza Refinery
HSI Energies Limited and its subsidiary, HSI Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited (HSI R&P), are leading the establishment of a state-of-the-art 5,000 bpd modular refinery on a 12.5 hectare waterfront asset within the Abia Industrial and Innovation Park (AIIP) in Owaza, Abia State, Nigeria. This facility will meet the growing demand for refined petroleum products in the South-East geographical region of Nigeria.

Given the recurrent export challenges of crude theft and vandalization of crude evacuation infrastructure, particularly on this axis, the refinery project aligns with HSI’s strategic goal of crude production security. It will attract increasing investments in upstream assets in this region. This will increase oil and gas production, enhance refined petroleum product quality, and ultimately expand the market reach to the South-South geographical region.

The refinery will be developed in two phases.

HSI was incorporated in 2019 and is currently developing the first phase of its modular refinery located in Owaza, Abia State. In this first phase, the refinery will operate at a capacity of 5,000 bpd, obtaining feedstock from neighbouring producing fields. Featuring a crude distillation unit and ancillary equipment, the product slate will comprise diesel (gas oil), kerosene, heavy fuel oil, and naphtha.

The first phase of the refinery is at an advanced stage of project development. HSI R&P has executed feedstock and product offtake agreements and completed a project market feasibility study and front-end engineering design (FEED). The refinery is scheduled to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2026.

The second phase of the refinery will be the expansion to 10,000 bpd capacity.

HSI has partnered with VFuels LLC, a renowned international EPCIC contractor with a successful track record of building and developing modular refineries in Africa.

A lot goes on covertly behind the scenes to disproportionately favour the south-west and north-west, while shortchanging the south-east, and this sabotage took a more determined, evil and insidious dimension since 2015 after the bigoted Buhari/Tinubu gangsters schemed their way into Aso-Rock!

You lot act behind the scenes to frustrate the regional development of the south-east and its entrepreneurs, while also working to sabotage the interests and chances of south-east politicians! You give or allow Ndigbo to have a token 1/10 or even less (as we see with this tiny refinery or 2nd Niger bridge you bleat on and on about) while greeedily cornering a whopping 8 or 9/10 for yourselves which most times you do without much publicity or in a shady/cunny way as we see with the Dangote refinery, Lekki FTZ, coastal highway to hell (apologies to AC/DC) or recently in the case of the Tinubu gov't approving billions of naira for Lagos rail!
