We told you to .make peace but some stupid political hawks were busy giving you wrong counsel to toe the war path .. Now the die is cast. .why didn't you pay the honorable men their salaries for over a year now. Why didn't you apply wisdom to do what the president told you to do...You didn't know you must stoop low to conquer atimes ? Now you are in for a real battle. If they remove you hell won't fall .. it is you that will lose your benefits as a governor. The benefits you suppose to collect for life will be no more. And those telling you not to agree with your boss will have nothing to lose. |

Government is made up of Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. Which one be Rivers state government reacts to impeachment moves by Legislators? |
| Re: Rivers Government Reacts To Assembly's Move To Impeach Governor Fubara by onuman: 11:57am On Mar 18, 2025 |
yarimo:Sharap. The legislators defected in the open to APC. Forget your APC Supreme Court judges who wanted a proof as if they were living in the moon when the Rivers state legislators defected to APC. Tinubu's APC is bent on ruining Nigeria. |

madridguy:Thats is gross misconduct from the state assembly to publicly state their defection to mislead the executive and public. There should be consequences for such misguided behaviour. And that is what led the executive to take the steps it did. |

Righthussle:They wish to do so. But for now they believe it's not necessary since they write speech for the supreme court . If fubara was the one writing speech for supreme court, tinubu and wike would have used the delete option. Have you forgotten the case of funso Williams or the fact that rivers was nicknamed rivers of blood under wike tenure? Fubara is a man of peace. They shouldn't frustrate him to go rogue like wike and tinubu |

''Rivers govt worries over Assembly’s move to impeach Gov Fubara'' WHEN YOU ADOPT A COBRA AS YOUR MASTER AND SHRINE, YOU SHOULD BE READY FOR ITS BITE ANYTIME. WHEN YOU ARE ENTHRONED BY A GOD-FATHER AND ACCEPT ALL HIS PRECONDITIONS FOR ENTHRONEMENT BECAUSE OF YOUR INORDINATE AMBITION, YOU SHOULD PREPARE FOR DETHRONEMENT ANYHOW. WHEN YOU VOLUNTARILY ACCEPT TO BE A ROBOT OF ANYONE AND LATER DESIRE TO ASSERT YOUR INDEPENDENCE, YOU SHOULD BE READY FOR THE CONSEQUENCE. THAT IS THE NARRATIVE OF MOST POLITICIANS WHO HAVE DEIFIED THEIR MASTERS FOR FILTHY LUCRE. AS FOR ME, I WILL NEVER REPLACE GOD WITH A MAN IN MY LIFE. IN AS MUCH AS I MUST RESPECT A MAN, NO MAN WILL EVER BE MY GOD! I MUST ALWAYS DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND IT SHOULD PLEASE MY BOSS IF HE IS HONEST AND FORTHRIGHT. I WILL NOT DO ANY WRONG TO SATISFY ANYONE IN THIS WORLD. |

etrouble:You really think to impeach a sitting governor is just that simple. Especially in the case of Fubara. There are hiccups along the way that may stall the process or elongate the process. It is the people of Rivers State that will suffer the consequences. Especially those who depend on the govt for their daily bread. It is also glaring that the 27 are poised for total war and not peace , hence their impeachment notice. They are dancing to the tune of their paymaster. It will take 3 to 4 months before the whole impeachment process is achieved. Are you rejoicing to the fact that within these periods, Rivers State will be grounded with no money to pay salaries, no money to carry out projects.. They say if Fubara is impeached, heaven will not fall...yes heaven will not fall but the ambers of crisis the 27 are fanning will fall and the fire it will cause may consume both the 27 and Rivers State as a whole. Rather than embrace peace , the 27 is going for outright war. The supreme court said that the Fubara govt should go back and present the budget but the 27 are refusing to allow that to happen..is that not war they are looking for? Let's watch and see |

yarimo:Bro, he didn't wake up one more and declared their seat vacant. There were precedence to this. It just that unfortunate how we see black and call it white. These guys literally defected. Read their defection letter before the Hallowed chamber, signed an affivadat to that effect. This was no news. It just a shame. I pray those supreme court judges have a good night sleep. |

In this jungle the inhabitants don't have a clue what politics and national development means. They think intrigues and personality disputes is what politics is about and giving contracts to foreign experts to build roads and bridges with money they collected as loan from China is national development. Savages! |

You might just fit in the definition of an educated illiterate. Yes, you are an educated illiterate because of this statement. Blowing oil pipeline is not a business in Nigeria nobody needs nnpc again. How do you think the Nigeria budget is funded? Do you know how many barrels of oil Nigeria sells daily? Do you know the price of a barrel of Bonny light? Do you know what it means to Nigeria and Nigeria budget if even for 24 hours there is a drop in the amount of oil pumped through those pipelines? Do you know what it means to Nigeria and Nigeria budget for there to be a drop in the world market price of just 10$ per barrel? When you hear of forex scarcity, abeg where did you think those dollars come from? Dangote? or it falls as manna? If you answer these questions, u will sharperly delete that statement. Vouch54: |
