Hi everyone, what’s your advice on self sponsor.
I sponsored myself and my family to the UK via student visa 3 years ago and now moving to USA.
I applied for PhD in Epidemiology but it’s so competitive so I had to accept the MpH in Epidemiology from Tulane University with scholarships of $20,000 my deficit is around $58k.
I plan to Use Mpower but with comment here i changed my mind to use self sponsor.
Can anyone enlighten me on the chance of getting visa using self sponsor and family sponsor.

Also I wish to say I already have Masters in Public health here in the UK

Hello everyone, please I need some advice. So, in my visa interview last year, I listed my cousin in the U.S. as my sponsor, but I indicated her as ‘sister’ on my ds120 because we grew up together. Now, I have a new school with cheaper tuition, and I want to use my elder brother in Nigeria as my sponsor instead. Is it okay to change my sponsor from my cousin in the U.S. to my brother here? Will they ask me why I switched sponsors during the interview? in this situation, who would be the best person to use as a sponsor?

The VO will ask what has changed from your last application, just tell him you have more funding now unlike the last time.

He will also ask if you have someone in the USA, don't lie. They have it in their record already from your last application.

What do you mean by more funding please? I don't have any additional funding from the school, just my sponsors account.

You can. Just contact the support team on avit. They do it themselves

Oh, no funding but cheaper fees?

Do you have funding at all? Or the fee is just cheaper?

Yes, it's normal. It could take up to 4 weeks or more and in other cases lesser.

However, if your resumption date is very close, and you chose Lagos, send a mail in this format:

Dear Consular,

Name: (Your name)

DS-160 Confirmation Number: (the number)

Passport Number: (the number)

I have been unable to schedule a visa appointment on the portal since (date you paid) after I paid the MRV fees.

Kindly find attached the proof of my payment. (YOU MUST ATTACH PAYMENT RECEIPT!)

I need your help as regards solving this issue.

My resumption date is (put the date) and it's less than 50 days away. I need your help in resolving this issue.

Hello everyone! Thank you for all the information and help here, it has really been helpful. Please I have a question - someone in the US helped me pay for my $185 visa application fee with her card but I didn't get an email notification for any payment receipt yet I'm able to log in to book a date in my AVITS portal. Please any suggestions on how I can access the receipt since it's part of the requirements of what I'm taking along for the visa interview. Thank you!!!!

Please is it OK to use a company's account for POF for F1 visa?

The company is a limited company with more than 1 director, but the dad who is the sponsor, is the only signatory to the company account.

If it is not OK, then can the money be transfered in bulk to the dad's personal account and used? Wont the bulk sum be queried?

Please i have been reading through the thread for a few days and I haven't seen this question answered directly. Kindly help.
