Ibime:he is a good student who really learned well from his teacher ![]() He is just following the footsteps of his teacher who also betrayed and went against his predecessors and also renegaded in their agreement 🤝 whilst also mixing a touch of one or 2 violence ![]() Takes 2 to tango |

These are valid concerns, but there should be better ways to navigate situations like this without having to mandate 100% local recruitment. What if the state in question does not have the sort of talent the company requires in sufficient enough numbers, compromise on quality?

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 7:14pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
Theflint1:Why do people always feel u can dictate to a private business owner whom and from where they recruit? 🤷♂️ Private business owners should be free to recruit talents from any part of the company . I mean for example if an airline operator wants to recruit a pilot now; will they say they must employ indigene of that state even when they don’t even have more than one or two pilots in the whole state ? Even if they have more than 2 pilots in that state , what if there are candidates who are more qualified but not indigene of the state ? Talking about tax , the private company is not the one that says taxes should be remitted to Lagos, it is our existing tac laws that make it so. |

Theflint1:They can enforce them to have their HQ in AkwaIbom if the bulk of their business is from Akwa They can train the local talents to take up those positions wherever they are lacking in skills |

raumdeuter:Allaccess is better |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 7:21pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
raumdeuter:The question is: Who will pay for the training of those local talents ? Is it the same private employees that will allow them learn on the job when they could get experienced hires and save themselves the hassle ? |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 7:22pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
Theflint1:We all saw it coming. Will the house of assembly now get paid now that they are suspended alongside the executive arm of the government ? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 7:23pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
BlueRayDick:If the private company cannot afford it, Then the private company can take their business elsewhere, but if they need resources that only Ibom can provide then they have to put up money Same way Shell pays to train Nigerian engineers and not just ship everyone from Holland because they need Nigerian resources |

Wike is a useless tout. Once he's not allowed to have his way, he will scatter everything. He has done it to PDP, now Rivers State. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:26pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
I trust the Military Dem go paint the whole Rivers with checkpoint. Raise your hands in the air at every point in time. I hope Fubara is happy now. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 7:27pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
raumdeuter:What if it is an essential service which the state itself needs ? Let’s say for example the BUA refinery which the state actually needs their tax to boost their own revenue figures ; what if the promoter of the refinery says he can’t afford to fill the refinery with indigenes who are inexperienced and decides to go with expats? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 7:27pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
izzou:In 6months time it will be close to buying re-election forms for 2027 Na Fubaba end up not enjoying his tenure plus post tenure its not sure than EFCC wont be after him I remember Dariye, got suspended, State of emergency in Plateau and he still went to prison |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 7:28pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
Theflint1:They’ve been suspended already na |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 7:29pm On Mar 18, 2025 |
BlueRayDick:The BUA are they getting crude from Akwa? Yes. If they can afford to do without Akwa crude then they can go to another state where they wont abide by that Its the same conditions oil companies have been dealing with in the Niger Delta, They are mandated to employ indigenes first. Otherwise go and drill elsewhere |

I'm actually impressed that the presidency moved early....... The economy is only slowly improving and inflation lessening, pipeline destruction cannot be allowed to continue for any reason at all. |
