Is there not already a refinery in Kaduna? How did crude oil get there Can we not build another refinery ? Or refineries How long did it take to build a refinery in Lagos |

Eriokanmi:It is very disappointing when about two individuals you considered as being exposed and polished on nairaland are usually not different from street boys on internet. This is the third time. Firstly, the news of fuel shortage in Niger Republic is not a secret information because it has been on major International News media for almost a week. This is not a Twitter information, all major news International media have reported it. Secondly, some of us have visited Sahel countries and have people on diplomatic and Intelligence missions in some of those countries. Thirdly, Zoraz refinery in Zinder is the only one in the country. The output has never met local demand because it is a small refinery and the investors must make money. The local demand in Niger Republic is largely dependent on the flourishing black market supplied from Nigeria. The fuel that came into Niger illegally from Nigeria represented up to about 50% of the market. Subsidy removal and control have created serious bottleneck for them since 2023. So, at the optimum, it is the 20,000 barrel per day of the Niger Republic Refinery that made you a self acclaimed International businessman to say Niger Republic have fuel that can meet the local demand of Nigeria while they are currently undergoing fuel crisis in their regions for weeks which has now entered Niamey. I don't blame you. If the FG wants to take action, their brothers in Nigeria will force Nigeria to support them. |

masseratti:Oga see ehnnn don't allow God to curse you and your lineage by dwelling on lies. God hates lies even the bible and the Quran say this. It here on record that the sanctions Nigeria imposed on Niger entail cutting off power to Niger. Trying to half clever by talking about payment for supplies is just you deflecting the real truth |

Tinubu is always desperate to gain cheap validation. Which reasonable country runs its diplomatic relations with emotions? Tinubu is a very weak man nobody rates outside Nigeria but his foolish supporters keep deceiving themselves. |

professorPABX:Stop spreading propaganda. I go to Niger all the time. They too import petrol from the same place we go to buy,for their people to meet unforseen shortages. They have tank farms where they store petrol for contingencies. What's their population that their local refineriy can't serve or meet the local needs? I have an associate there too. I don't have to say everything here.Where do you think they sell the petrol from their refinery to...Nigeria? Are you even aware their currency is stronger than ours? Check out the cefa exchange rate as of today. I prefer to keep cefa to stockpiling the naira. The Soraz refinery is undergoing some maintenance hence the reason for the perceived recent shortage and not mainly due to stoppage of smuggling. France is not happy they broke away so, anything to diminish Niger won't be far from them. They're importing as we speak to address the short term shortage,.like every other nation Including Nigeria does thru NNPCL If all I said about the cooking gas and onions that Niger used to import to Nigeria was fake, why not at least check Google? The information is free. They came to Nigeria recently to meet our government over insecurity which they traced its source to Nigeria. Who doesn't know Nigeria has been battling terrorism for over a decade now? Maybe you're living in the moon to know this. Their base is in Nigeria so, they came to seek how to prevent them from infiltrating their country. Like I said in the previous message. The news source was from twitter now called x. Twitter is a public place where anyone can post nonsense and that doesn't make it legit. Shebi those you're following once told you that petrol scarcity in Nigeria was due to smuggling across border and you swallowed it hook line and sinker. I visit cotonou often due to the nature of my work and I've never seen a single petrol tanker on the way since 2014 that I've been visiting. Customs and immigration posts before the border are over 20. Where will fuel tankers pass? Even in the bushes, they're there. They used to buy from us before Buhari came but they later stopped. Those who didn't want to pay export duties too used to smuggle. All that stopped after border was closed. Stop being deceived. Benin republic goes to same place where we buy petrol abroad and sell to their people. Since subsidy had been removed, why is NNPCL still importing despite dangote's commitment to meeting local needs as seen? What are the marketers still importing when dangote petrol is way cheaper, those who are now declaring billions in losses? Who will clear the mess? Everything time I call you guys illiterate, you always kick. Isn't this one of the proofs? While the border against Benin was shut for years, they kept waxing srong economically while we're the worst hit. Their currency kept waking stronger. They never came to beg rather na we dey smuggle from them and Niger. Enough said. |

Eriokanmi:I don't believe you wrote these junks. From your antecedents, it is true you wrote them. You believe scarcity of petroleum in Niger Republic is propaganda, even apart of International News media, at Alaba Rago it is no news, their people know. What is the essence of these junks? You said Niger Republic produces petrol (PMS) that can meet Nigeria local demand and that before border closure they supply Nigeria LPG. I have been advised to ignore you as answering you would reveal many things that are classified. Is it reminding you that Zoraz refinery is a 20,000 barrel at optimum which cannot meet local demand that made you wrote these junks. Are you providing pipelines and funding to move petroleum products from Lome port to Niamey? Just because of the reality of pms scarcity in Niger Republic which was on CNN, Al Jazeera, AFP and others which is also known at Alaba Rago and Kara markets that is why you wrote junks about how NNPC and marketers in Nigeria import Petrol in a deregulated market economy. Well, an uncivilized, crude ONITSHA main market and Alaba trader travelling for importation can also say something from his traveling. It is all exposure and experience. We are talking about Petrol scarcity in Niger Republic you are talking about situation at Seme Border between Lagos and Benin Republic since Buhari era. What brought that here? Have you forgotten that period of stiff border closure between Lagos and Benin Republic, estimated 50% of petroleum products in Niger Republic is smuggled from Nigeria and sold in Black market. This is despite their Zoraz refinery. Your personality is now fully known. I mistook you for another person. Thanks. All those nonsense you are writing is for your people. Niger Republic is begging Nigeria for assistance on Fuel, you said it is a propaganda. Most of you with fake identity on Social Media are fake people in real life. For reference purposes, I will repost my responses to your falsehood again. |

Gajagojo:The Kaduna Refiner is presently NOT functioning. The Refinery in Niger Republic was built and ran by the Chinese. The Niger Republic Military Junta borrowed about $450 million from China, using their future crude oil sale to the Chinese Refinery as a collateral. However, they couldn't raise any money to repay the loan, so they resorted to 'Area Boys' Tactics by slaming the Chinese Refinery company a $80billion Tax. When the Refinery didn't pay this outrageous tax, the Military Rulers seized the company and expelled the Chinese Expariates from Niger Republic. However, they have no experience or technical know how to run the Refinery, leading to fuel scarcity . They had to swallow their pride and beg Nigeria to sell 300 Trucks of petrol to them. Niger Republic ,just like other African countries are very poor because they don't have the knowledge to add values to their resources to produce what they want. |

masseratti:Oga stop trying to play smart you never said or asked for proof. The issue here is this Nigeria has power supply agreements with Niger and Benin to prevent them from damming the River upstream as that can affect the water flow to Kainji. What Kainji is producing is immaterial in this argument, so quit being a wise ass the issue here is Tinubu violated a bilateral agreement, it is not the first time Niger has gotten military Juntas there's Hisene Habre's regime that was far worse that this, yet no one touched Niger's power supply from Nigeria. Try and have sense. |
