Nigeria is totally gone

Imagine what a rep member is saying
Nothing is gone. If Tinubu did not declared state of emergency, there will be continued bombing of oil facilities as much as the lawmakers are bent of impeaching Fubara. Always keep quiet if you don't have nothing to say. It is profitable.

National Assembly and the Nigeria Senate will always speak in Tinubu language. Who born them well to speak against Tinubu here. What I only know is that power is transient.
Thank you for saying it as it is.
Akpabio was all over the place to kowtow to Tinubu to make him the senate president, which eventually happened. The handwriting was seen later on when he started wearing Tinubu's signature cap, which was to showcase his loyalty.
Is it that Akpabio-led senate that will stand in the way of Tinubu on any decision of interest to him? To think Tinubu/APC is not interested in becoming the ruling party of River state is be a blind and a dumb fellow.

Like you said, power leaves people when they least expect, but these bestial folks have no brain to reason that way.

Immediately I saw the news of explosion in river state yesterday I knew it is the hand work of APC government to justify their plan of declaring state of emergency in river state and fubara fell for BAT trap.
.
Exactly what I was expecting to hear from most of you. Now the question is : why wasn’t Fubara wise enough to see through this gameplan? (I’m already admitting your conspiracy theory to be true)
Una no Dey ever calm and you just pushed this boy to his doom. They used his naivety against him. A wise politician, knowing fully well what the constitution says about events like this, would have immediately disowned the fuuuuulllls who made those threats. A wise person would immediately distance himself even if he’s the one carrying out the attacks)

This was BAT initial plan for Kano and OSUN State but the two governor saw the plan and use their wisdom to deal with it.
Which wisdom? Tinubu will set the north on fire which will consume him if he tries it in Kano. For Osun it is really of no importance to him. Rivers is the target right from time for him.

But they are crying from afar. Them no wan put body.
What is your hatred against igbos? Is it not Ijaws that have been the ones protesting everywhere? Show me where igbos protested for Fubara? This thing your are doing, you need to check yourself. I think you have a mental illness, because someone who is okay will not have this obsessive hatred for a tribe that has done nothing against him.

Dear Fergie001, Dalitigator..

I want to know exactly what this judgement hereunder entails (it concerns the suspension of the then governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye -- see the link for the judgement),, and whether the judgement applies in the same vein to Fubara..

..

Is there anything Fubara is supposed to do differently in order to have a favourable judgement ((especially if he decides to go to the courts))..

In this matter, the Supreme Court side-stepped it.
What I mean is that, the suit was struck out because one of the preliminary objections was sustained.

In a suit at the Apex Court, once a preliminary objection is upheld, the case is automatically struck out without delving into the merits or otherwise of the suit.

In this case, the preliminary objection that was upheld was that the 1st plaintiff did not authorise the suit. The matter was between Plateau State Government & Anor v. Attorney-General of the Federation & Ors..

The Supreme Court held that the head of the Plateau Govt at the time was Maj-Gen Chris Alli (rtd) and only him could authorise the filing of the suit.

What does this mean for Fubara?
He cannot do anything.

The Supreme Court only assumes original jurisdiction on disputes between State v State and State v FG or vice versa. Fubara is no more Head or the State Govt and hence cannot approach the Supreme Court head on.

What he can do is approach the Federal High Court but he will only irk those who want his head especially with our current justice system. Moreover, the case could linger past the six months and hence, lying low will be best for now.

However, I dare say the only constitutional means of removing a Governor is via impeachment.

If meeting with the leader equates to him meeting the NA, then the next budget should be presented exclusively to the leaders for approval.

A decision that has already been made will be transmitted and read during planery tomorrow for what exactly? You mean all other members in the house of assembly and Senate democratically elected are dunce and don't have a say in decision making.

What manner of fuckery is this?

This President can decide to, if it may seem the parties continue to hold on.

It also has huge political undertones.

1. Rivers is known to be the cashcow of the Party in terms of funding and many know Fubara has been non-committal in terms of providing funds for the Party.

2. The South South Zonal Conference will hold next month in Port Harcourt with Fubara sure to install himself as leader of the Party with his nominations, he has assured to start spending big.

3. PDP National Convention holds in November and Rivers has a big financial role to play in it.

So, I will be the least surprised if the President insists on a 3-months extension if he believes many things won't go right. Now, the LG Elections in August might likely go on with Fubara and his people out of the picture. Unless the RSIEC chair decides to extend same which I doubt he will with a military man at the helm.

So, it is more a political decision than one robed in insecurity claims.
