So it was Tinubu that suspended him.

That's a ridiculous decision.

I agree with NNPP stance here.

This further proves he really how no idea how to govern the nation. With such decision and resolution.

Why suspended him? He's an elected official for goodness sake. On what grounds is his suspension justified? What kind of offence did he committed that warrant a suspension or removal from his elected office.

I saw how he handled or resolved the Lagos assembly issues as well and it was very pathetic.

Tinubu knows nothing. I don't think he can even state any law of the constitution.

The skills to win election by politicking are different from the skills to lead by governing. T-Pain clearly lacks the latter as shown in the glorified ghetto status of Lagos in the midst of global cities, 26 years after squeezing Lagosians for IGR and collecting federal allocations that did not stop him and his successors from unpayable loans borrowing.

What do you think he, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo-Olu have done with all the trillions if not loot, steal and thief it since 1999 given that there is no improvement in water supply. Instead of improving it has worsened.

Potable water still luxury 23 years after return of democracy

WHILE the Federal Government continues to proliferate the country with dams, it is such an irony that a state like Lagos, with its massive, constant boast of being a megacity, cannot provide its residents, thereby forcing the bulk of them to take solace in the arms of water boreholes.

At regular intervals, the two major waterworks in the state, the Adiyan, and Iju get grounded leading to the non-availability of water. In April and May last year, for instance, they both produce less than 10% of their installed capacity.

As of today, Eti-Osa, Apapa, Victoria Island, Badagry, Ibeju Lekki, Surulere, Ikorodu, Agege, Ojo, Mushin Kosofe, and most locations in the state are without access to clean water. Consequently, millions of residents now rely on boreholes, rivers, rainwater, as well as comprised wells for their water needs.

On its website, the LWC claims that it has a total installed water production capacity of 210 million gallons per day (MGD), which is far lower than the current estimated daily water demand of 540 million gallons per day.

Also, its plan to produce 745 million gallons per day by the year 2020 through the Lagos Water Supply Master Plan fell flat with the actual number of citizens having access to potable water dropping, rather than increasing 11 years after the launch of the master plan.

A senior staff of LWC, who preferred anonymity said that at present, its agency only supplies water to Lekki, parts of Ikoyi, Victoria Island (VI), Ojodu, Iju, and some parts of Ikotun.

Pandora Bitter Obi would have been worse clearly, despite having nearly 100% votes in the five south eastern states to unwittingly make ebilokan's path to Aso Rock easier.

[quote author=NLCreator post=126854133]Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.

There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.

Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.

The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.

While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.

“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.

“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.

“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”

Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.

Tge president is clueless of how democracy works that's why he declared start of emergency rather than funding peaceful resolution.

The Nigerian Constitution as a whole is faulty. You should know or perhaps research that if you don't know. People in Lagos were ready to listen and act accordingly but it was different with WIK and SIM. Attacking national assets and people are threatening violence in different quarters which has been linked to the explosions. That's a matter of national security having assessed that situation. Did Tinubu demolished the House of Assembly Complex? Did Tinubu belong to the PDP. Let WIK and SIM fix their mess. I would have done same too as the President because effectiveness is keen in anything you do, governance, family etc.

What happens to declaring a state of emergency and supporting the governor to curb the developing security threats.

What majority found very faulty and ridiculous in the decision was the suspension of the governor.

And people in Lagos were not ready to listen. The last I checked they are still against the leader of the assembly.

Is it Fubara that bring about the bombing. Tinubu should have been more involved and curb this issue before it got to this. He should have caution Wike. The right time to quench the fire was when the assembly building was demolished

Which party be this sef?
A party that can't even manage their affairs but- just show red Cap upanda?
Make Una go rest.
Same with LP and their PDP Sympathersers.
The Big Stick 🏒 was wielded by the President -not to allow things to get out of hand 👌. that is how to be Pragmatic.
-President Tinubu, even saved Fubara, otherwise,he would have been Impeached for life and Nothing can save him! Thanks to President Tinubu.
But at the end, Fubara - is gone ,as he no longer going to seat as governor and his head go straight now. Let his lawyers - go prove that 4- Legislatures is 31 or 27 Members,
Or that the State Building Legislative Assembly he Pulled down,no be so.
Or that he has not been using 2- arms of govt ,
or that using 4- people to Approve things in Rivers State - is not illegal.
toh
Alas Rivers-State will be good and great again ,as many aliens are laying claims to Rivers Indigenous People.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The threats are coming from the circle/associates of SIM. I don't want to mention names here.
According to the AGF, even if Governor Fubara did not directly order the attacks, his failure to denounce the militants’ threats made him complicit. “We are in a democracy. The governor was seen telegraphing militants, suggesting he would let them know when to act. Even if that was misinterpreted, did he disown them? No. A week later, pipelines were vandalized,” he asserted.

I'll give you an example... Take a look at the immunity clause and some political office holder (36+2) are always using this to indulge in corruption. Another one is a section where it was written that there'll be no state religion. Are traditional religions practices acceptable/recognised in the country apart from the major ones which are Christian and Islamic? You can see how religion affects our decision making constitutionally. Example is a case of a governor in the north declaring a Ramadan holiday that's over an extended period of time thereby affecting academic activities and where. Some areas in the same north are predominantly adopting a particular religion as a state religion. I can state more than ten instances for you. That's to mention a few. That's why Nigerians are calling for a constitution reviews. You'll see a court of law issuing a judgement and another court of the same hierarchy countering the said judgement. Same country where there's a role conflict between NSCDC and NPF. Government is just replicating the role of agencies by creating more. Do you think we need EFCC when there's a financial fraud unit/department in the NPF? Take time and examine all these things, you'll understand that everything is wrong with the constitution and ACTS.

And lastly, a President can declare a state of emergency where there's a national security threats and the Senate were carried along. Senate President was in the meeting with NSA and other Chief of Staff.

You made very good points. I concur that Nigeria constitution is terribly flawed. It's the worst reality of this country.

I'm not so surprised it is like that anyways, when the less educated ones are the most powerful in the country and the one that rule it.
