The more you want to twist the subject, the more you dig the whole deeper

Lives and properties must be protected shey?

How come 300 people were slaughtered in Taraba in one day, and Nobody declared a SoE?

Just answer it, by showing me how a demolition of a building is worse.
We can argue there is one difference

all the atrocities in the other locations are executed by non state actors. the governors have some level of funding to tackle these issues, even though they are not meeting up

for all intents and purposes, the attack on the pipeline was backed by the governor, or by his agents or people acting on his behalf

.......security personnel are on top of the situation and the Governor ain't responsible for it.
So to you, the demolition of a cement block is more worthy to be considered a National crisis than 300 human beings slaughtered to death?

You see as politics dey transform you?

Take am easy oh. Allah go judge all of us for which side we dey stand on.

So if 1 million people are slaughtered by non state actors, it may not be a National crisis

But if a building is demolished by a governor, it should be a National crisis, abi?

It is well, Maigida. It is well.

.....the State Assembly Complex is more than just a collection of bricks and cement; it is a symbol of governance.

It is a sacred building that a Governor should prioritize protecting rather than demolishing bruh.

And if 300 people are slaughtered in one day, it is not a matter of concern, in comparison to a State Assembly complex that was demolished, with no life lost.

the irony is if tinubu declares state of emergency in any of these regions tomorrow, there will be public outcry

also, an attack on a pipeline is economic sabotage. governors are already failing with there allocations and security vote. if pipeline vandalism reduces this, what happens next?

Like you said yesterday, Tinubu jumped in because the matter was starting to affect our pockets. Nigeria does not have the financial muscle to chest any militancy madness now

And that's it. Leave it at that. That doesn't mean there are not other cases that doesn't command a SoE

But starting to compare how the demolition of a building is more important than tens of thousands of lives killed for nothing, is one losing his sense of humanity.

Wake up and smell the coffee

2027 is already in the bag. Almost all Southern PDP Governors are subservient to Tinubu and will deliver except Osun which is inconsequential. Even Fubara would have delivered for him

This is simply about not killing the goose that lays the golden egg (oil revenue)
It certainly seems that way and APC has done a very good job of creating the impression that 2027 is a foregone conclusion.

But it's a national election, even for those that want to rig it, it won't be easy, so I think there's still a chance for the opposition in 2027.

.......You guys are just lumping things together, and it’s really irritating. Do I need to show you, for instance, what Zulum is doing to support our troops in Borno?! Just a few days ago, he donated more than 100 vehicles to support their operations.

Why would a Governor like that be suspended when he is clearly doing his best to curb insecurity?!

The difference is that they are not aiding criminality, rather they are fighting it. LOL!

i started a post and stopped

no one did anything when the house of assembly was demolished
for all intents and purposes, it is an internal affair

oil revenue is not an internal affair

if it is not nipped in the bud there is likely a waiting army of future militants who want to continue where tompolo and co stopped.
that is the seed fubara was sowing. empowering a new generation of pipeline vandals.

So the army of militants in the North and SE don't deserve to be stopped, but the one that is yet to mobilize must be stopped grin

This is exactly what I said

The Demolition of the Complex is not a National crisis.

Also, the SoE in Rivers is because of our pockets. It doesn't necessarily mean that there aren't other issues that warrant an SoE in Nigeria.

You can mention Oasis to tell him better

.......once again, the State Assembly Complex is more than just a building; it is also a seat of power. Without an appropriated budget, a Governor has no right to spend a dime from the state purse.

It is a symbol of governance, and demolishing it without justification could ordinarily lead to anarchy.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 12:40pm On Mar 19, 2025
There is a money reason (very important), and a political reason for what Tinubu chose to do, but please let's not make it look like the security crisis happening, or that will happen in Rivers if all hell broke loose is worse than whatever has been happening in the rest of the country.

They still don't realize it even after explaining in detail and giving instances during the exchanges with OasisX days ago. ALL Niger Delta Governors especially are pro-Tinubu. ALL. The only ones putting up some sort of fight are the Northern ones.

So stopping farming in the north did not cause our agricultural economy to cripple?
Why then is the nation incapable of feeding itself?
Abi that one nor affect economy?

And most importantly the loss of lives is not as important as crude oil abi? 😁
Have they stopped farming in the North?

If you referred to some parts of the North and not majority or the whole of the North, you will need to edit this line before going into any bet.

It was an NURTW boss that actually impeached Ladoja supported by the FG. Since that day, Anything PDP has become haram to me

They showed Ladoja shege.

Chris Ngige and Ladoja were the first governors I saw that were manhandled by their godfathers.
OBJ told both of them to go and settle with their godfathers while giving FG military support to the godfathers

That was how Sunday Igboho came to prominence because he was part of the civilian thugs that Ladoja was using to protect himself after FG withdrew soldiers

Very quick to copy the bad parts of OBJ's government. How about he copies some of the good parts for a change?
He is doing better and surpassing them, By the time he finishes his 8yrs like OBJ you will be singing his praises all over Ikpoba hills

What makes Rivers more of an emergency area than the terrorist and herdsmen ravaged states up North, or the South East where there's sit-at-home every Monday?
Same thing that made Ekiti more of an emergency area under OBJ than Rivers where militants were reigning

.......ain't sure buddy has even the slightest idea of what's happening in the North right now. He's just arguing baselessly, but at least it's entertaining.

Niger State will soon be feeding the nation with its aggressive investment in farming, backed by massive support from the Federal Government.

Perhaps he's not even aware of the deployment of 10,000 Agro-Rangers across all 19 Northern States solely to protect farmers.

The Sad News part Is; Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has secured $86.7 million IFAD fund to developing robust agricultural value chains in Northern Nigeria. LOL!

2023 dynamics are not 2027 dynamics...Tinubu's play is to make in-roads down South incase the Northern votes don't come like it did in 2023.
The number 1 reason that carries 70% importance is that the source of money for the country is going to be affected. Rivers have been doing their madness for a long time, no SoE, the moment pipelines got involved instant SoE. And you still dey wonder?

Rivers is just 1 state out of 36 and electorally not more important than others but economically a top 2 state in the country
