in a saner clime, intent is also considered, punishment will be meted out on them but i dont see how they will cool off behind bars in saner clime. Not all manslaughter will send people to jail, and there's something like involuntary manslaughter

So all the criminals that are currently in prison did not show empathy and contrition when they were caught. Why did you prosecute them?

The attorney general has shown a new low standard that all it takes for charges to be dropped is for the accused to show empathy and contrition.

Oyo State Government should be embarrassed.

i would advise her to visit all the family of the bereaved (Without Camera)and ask for their forgiveness and see what she can do to help their surviving siblings or parents

Granted that the errors in the organisation of the funfair cost this nation the lives of those innocent children, it is obvious that the former
Queen never intended to cause the death of those kids. All the families of the victims of the stampede should be heavily compensated, although no amount of monetary compensation can equate the value of those precious lives that were wasted. Let the Government put in place new regulations to guide against poor organisation of events like this in future.
