Exactly, don't mind those people who cannot spot the difference.

There is nothing modest about him, this is just stinginess to oneself, most of the guys who behave like this actually worships money, they look to acquire and store in their account without spending, because poverty has been engraved in their brains whatever comes into their hand doesn't go out for any reason, they calculate heavily before spending any amount from what they already have, even their children well being and education suffer because they will always go for the cheapest school, because they do not want to spend money at all. go read about the most stingiest woman in the worlds then you will know what i am talking about.

The shoe is not even worth $150, i guess he bought it, under the bridge.
Did you just say there is nothing modest about him, you sound like his father - you knew him too well.

You dunno anything.

Some comments here sha! It shows how the show-off mentality has eaten so deep into our societal fabrics.
If you listen to some trending songs that our Gen Z like, those songs is all about worshipping money. The songs send out the message if you are not rich, you a misfit in the society. That's why the rate of YahooYahooism vis-a-vis Money Ritualism can't be abated in our country.
Life should be all about moderation ,modesty, giving , and humility.

Then you know him so well to say he is modest. or maybe you gave birth to him. Point i am trying to make is not everyone who is stingy to themselves you call been modest. guess you have heard of that Nollywood movie where the actor was stingy to himself and he calld it modesty up to the point he wouldn't ever spend money on hospital to treat himself and ended up dead only for his children to lavish everything he owned and wouldn't spend, his ghost was actually watching them spending the money reckless and his ghost lived in regret. have you read the story of the most stingiest woman in the world. it is not so far from Kante you are praising as been modest now. I can only agree with you that he is modest if i see anywhere that he spends some part of his money helping his community. else to me he is stingy and doesn't understand the concept of money. does he want to take this money to heaven or he just wants to amass wealth for his generation to come.

how is Kante stingy to himself?

can you with hard evidence tell nairaland Kantes income and how he spends his income?

can you also share your income and explain how much of your income you spend on clothing and shoes per month since you are not stingy to yourself and do not have poverty mentality?
i do not have close to the amount of money Kante has at the moment, but believe you me i will never dress ragtag like an Amajiri the way he is currently doing. i do not go after popular designers like Gucci, Versace and co. but i dress very well and if you see me outside you will call my dress class and expensive. i cannot make money and be stingy to myself and i don't brag to people around me and i don't showoff either that is called modesty. thank you. go and read the story of the most stingiest woman in the world then you will know what i am talking about.

NOETHNICITY:
Oga, I understand your situation

When you have experienced poverty from childhood to adulthood, it can make money feel like the only real thing in life.

Not everyone values an extravagant lifestyle to impress others, attract a crowd of women, or gain admiration and reverence from those around them.

Get that into your head
Actually poverty has finished you that you are just to accustomed to it, its like a yoke around your neck so i understand the condition it has done to your brain.
See who Kante and you are like. the world most stingiest woman. She was even more wealthy than Kante. I guess you will call her the most modest woman in the world. Ndiala..

World most Stingiest woman.
The woman often cited as the "world's most stingy" is Hetty Green, who reportedly accumulated a fortune estimated at over $2.3 billion, yet lived a very frugal life, even to the point of wearing the same hand-sewn pants for 16 years.
Here's a more detailed look at her story:
Early Life and Inheritance:
Hetty Green inherited a substantial fortune from her father, estimated at $7.5 million.
Investments and Business:
She moved to New York at 21 to invest her money in Wall Street, earning the nickname "The Wicked Witch of Wall Street".
Extremely Frugal Lifestyle:
Despite her wealth, she lived a very frugal life, even to the point of eating leftovers and collecting free bones for her dog.
Notable Examples of Stinginess:
She reportedly wore the same hand-sewn pants for 16 years.
She would ask bakeries for breadcrumbs and grocery stores for broken biscuits.
She would choose community health centers over high-end hospitals, even though she could afford the best care.
Legacy:
After her death, her children used a large portion of her wealth to build free hospitals.
Guinness World Record:
She is said to have broken the Guinness World Record as the most stingy woman in history.

Your mumuism has no pair

Did Kante tell you he is hungry?
You think it’s everyone that love bragging and chestbeating?

There is a reason the entire French national team including big figures like Mbape have unbelievable respect for Kante. To the extent that when they meet him they have nothing but reverence for him.

N’Golo Kanté, widely known for his humility and quiet lifestyle, has also been involved in several philanthropic activities throughout his career. While he keeps most of his charitable work private, here are some notable aspects of his generosity and giving back to society:

1. Helping Low-Income Families and Communities
• Kanté has reportedly helped build infrastructure in his family’s home country, Mali, particularly in rural communities.
• He has also provided financial support to low-income families in France, where he grew up.

2. Support for Grassroots Football
• Instead of investing in luxury items, Kanté has been known to fund football projects for underprivileged children, ensuring they get access to training and facilities.
• He regularly visits local clubs and youth academies to inspire young players.

3. Donations to Charitable Causes
• He has contributed to various charity organizations, particularly those focused on education, healthcare, and fighting poverty.
• Reports suggest that he has quietly donated to projects in France, Mali, and other parts of Africa.

4. Humble and Generous Acts Towards Fans
• Kanté has been spotted helping fans in need, whether it’s stopping to assist them or inviting them for meals.
• In 2018, after missing a train to Paris, he accepted an invitation from fans, joined them for dinner, and played video games with them—a story that became famous for showing his humility.

5. Refusing to Exploit Tax Loopholes
• Unlike many footballers who use offshore tax havens, Kanté refused to accept part of his salary through tax-avoidance schemes when he was at Chelsea, insisting on being paid legally and fairly.

A Role Model Beyond Football

Kanté’s philanthropy aligns with his reputation as one of football’s most humble and down-to-earth players. He doesn’t seek attention for his charitable work, but those around him often highlight his generosity.
