The next phase is about to commence in Nigeria. Welcome electric vehicles. Oil barons, be ready to drink your own oil 😁
Re: FG Commissions Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging Station In Abuja by Blazetrailer:
So, how many vehicles are EV in Abuja?
Less than 100. So the government prioritised the need of 100 people vs needs of millions of people? 😆

It must be feudalism(government for the priviledged)that you are running then and not a democracy

bmaster2000:
Those who own an electric vehicle will understand the importance of this infrastructure. Not every project is designed for everyone. In developing countries, this is what the government has done in many strategic locations. Does the fact that you can afford it mean that type of project should not be done?

Reason with your brain, not with your ass.

Misplaced priority....

As we speak, this week alone Abuja no geh light for 3days stretch..... They brought it yesterday for some hours. Currently this morning o light is no where to be found again, they took it over the night. And it's not a priority. Food security is not a priority. Cheap means of transportation in Abj is not a priority
What a useless govt.

If the capital of a country is thrown into darkness without explanation every now and then what is the hope of other state?

Here they are commissioning electric vehicle charging point. Electric vehicle that no masses or middle class will be able to afford in the next 20 years even if they keep saving all their salary
What do you gain from telling lies to mudsling this APC government of the city boy who built Lagos alone with the help of brilliant Fashola huh

Is Abuja no longer part of Nigeria, where everyone has been enjoying uninterrupted power since APC shege of 2015? grin

pendy79:
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Sunday evening boasted that he could provide uninterrupted power supply to Lagos residents between six and eight months.

Fashola spoke at the commissioning of 8.5 megawatts Lekki Independent Power Project (IPP), the fifth of such power projects in the last five years in the state.

The governor said the addition of the Lekki IPP was a testament to the fact that stable power does not require rocket science to achieve in the country.

While challenging power distribution companies in the state, Fashola said, “Let the Eko DISCOs sign a contract with me, giving part of their concessioning to the state government, in about six to eight months, there will be power in all homes in Lagos State,” Fashola said.

He added, “So, let no one say that he has no money to deliver power for the entire country. This is the limit to which the law allows us to do, but we have done this to make a statement that power can be generated. So, when they come with lies that power is impossible, you can tell them that we have power here; we make it possible”.

The project, courtesy of the state government, in partnership with Heritage Bank, is to serve Lagos State Water Corporations in Lekki Phase 1, Oniru, Victoria Island and Ikoyi, as well as over 25km of public lightening in the Lekki axis.

Commissioning the project, Fashola said he felt fulfilled with the conduct of youths that delivered the project, despite the difficulties in getting to the finishing point.

He said it also showed that the money to improve the Nigerian economy is here, “since we don’t need the World Bank to come and do this for us.”

Re: FG Commissions Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging Station In Abuja by MightySparrow: 7:58am On Mar 21, 2025
We don't need electric vehicles in Nigeria: Africa. All African presidents should encourage Maxwell Chikunbusto free energy car. Few weeks ago, the car made 7500 km without recharge against all skepticism and disbelief. He just asked a Chinese company to build the car and put his device.

All these dignitaries for charging station .... this is sooo embarrassing. This is something that simply needs to be on the news to make people aware . I can bet my life the celebration cost more than the charging stations.

How many Nigerians can afford electric cars?

A 20 year old corolla has become a luxury to so many, how much more an electric car.

This charging station is for the rich and not the masses.

Whats the population of Gwarinpa, a small estate.

Why should Gwarinpa has light and just opposite Gwarinpa, which is Dutse with, has no light... What's the justification?

If you think Govt is your problem you will never be satisfied in life. When VDM said that China has already moved on to electric car and they no longer depends on fuel, many of you were on his comment session typing all sort of rubbish to support the content creator.

Now, the govt manage to build one of it kind for a country where many of the youth prefer to do yahoo or make stupid contents instead of being productive as a citizen and many of you are still here saying jargon.

Many Nigerian are also a bad citizen but they are quick to point finger to the govt. You can't even compare China to USA or Russia not to talk of Nigeria. Now the govt has try to satisfy it citizen by building one electric car plant but instead of appreciating it for being the first govt to do such that was when they remembered that Nigeria doesn't have stable electricity.

China build their thing by themselves and patronise their products but Nigerian will leave innoson motor here and travel to China or UK to buy Tesla and other cars yet they will blame nigeria government for not patronising Innoson.

Small power giving to Fubara, he want to hide under the umbrella of caring for few ijaws without considering what effect it will have to Nigeria economy at large. Federal govt step in, yet Tinubu is the bad person.

Many of you Talk rubbish with so much pride, ego... and entitlement. A student that cannot compete with his contaparts in diaspora in this internet age will be talking to govt.

Instead of lashing government everytime, what have you do as a good citizen to support your community not to talk of your state? You will just open mouth waaaaa and be talking.

Some people cannot even teach their immediate junior ones good morals and yet they want to blame govt.

One slowpoke will still come and look for grammatical error and not think about the content of the post. Fuuuullss

I saw the videos on YouTube about the microsonic energy. Maxwell and his team are doing well;I hope they will get more support from investors. It's time naija govt/politicians look ahead, not by starting many programs/initiative without vision and proper implementation. Serious Country are investing in technology that makes life easier.

quote author=Walexy96[/quote]Your points is valid,Every one should be accountable though the govt are making things difficult even for the serious minded that wants to do better. I don't think these Powerful people really care about the hardship and reactions through social media. Vdm is trying his best for Nigeria. He also spoke about how some people are hiding updates that could benefit others. May God save Nigerians💪

Shut up and use your brain. You need public charging stations in a society moving towards electric vehicles. You do not encourage that transition by having people forced to purchase private charging equipment too.

Yeye government and misplaced properties, how many people get EVs for Abuja?no one will use that thing, besides is it the same Abuja that has not had light now for more than 4days?abi which Abuja again are they talking about?

Just imagine a whole FCT of a country cannot even boast of 5 hours straight of uninterrupted power,if they manage to give you power,in 1 hour it will be taken and returned like 5 times..these are the problems that need to be fixed by this yeye government but of course they are busy witch hunting people that criticize their govt or looking for how to pass a bill to ban porn or bill that allows them to know the addresses of bloggers so they can continue their witchcraft hunting them if they speak against the cursed government. When the wicked and evil are in power, the people suffer and weep.

Oga no body is saying jargons here, you are talking about China that has constant power and an enabling environment for the people to thrive and succeed with huge government support. Can you say same for this cursed country? Where people can not even feed well let alone use their brains to develope their conditions?even if by some miracle you manage to start some business, the same country will work against you to destroy the business,no power so you have to keep wasting funds on diesel or petrol and still continue to be taxed by different so called govt bodies outrageous amounts, abi is it the police that will come to disturb the business too,in a country where customers can no longer afford to patronize your business because of the economic hardship and you are using China to compare with such a country?

When the government makes the environment friendly enough for its citizens to survive and thrive then they can now afford such things as EVs then you can start making charging stations for them NOT now, focused that eye service energy to into something that can help the people have a better life.EV stations where there is no power sef to charge it?Go there in the next 3months and see how dilapidated that charming station will become.
