It is a case of DRC losing their eastern flank and the majority of the 24T USD deposits to rebels who started their fight with marginalisation as excuse but have transformed into resource grabbing movement and are obviously backed by stronger nations(likely Britain). Why strengthen an enemy when you can invite a partner and trade off some of the resource fuelking the conflict to keep your territory? Why?
