I no mean the one wey na the man spend for her to go abroad.
I mean the one wey na she herself or her family sponsor her trip abroad.
How many of such Nigerian women do you know wey don return to Nigeria, carry man go UK?
The girl I know in pH.. immediately she travels to the UK sh stopped dating her long time pH boyfriend who is also a graduate and huzling... Sh is a doctor..

She later came back for him , guess when..? 9 years later after she past 37 years .. marriage pressure hooked her.. sh couldn't hold a man down in the UK...

The guy agree , knowing sh doesn't love him.. got there , worked for 3years, gathered her money , paid her back, told her why he will. Leave and left her..

His argument is that, u dumped me at the most crucial stage, we could have been married very very long ago.. but u chose class over real. Love.. me also I dnt want to marry an old lady too.. upon sh is a doctor, the guy never cared.. ND left

Mumu man.

He married a 16 year old minor because he thought she would be 'tamable' and that backfired greatly. E sweet me.

A 4 year old was left in his care and he was unable to care for her because he was undocumented.

Is that how he would have been unable to care for his own biological child had he conceived with Edith?

Now what did we learn?

Take Nigerian wife abroad to your own demise.

Better to meet the Nigerian woman there than to bring her from Nigeria.

The one from Nigeria whom you take to oversea from Nigeria go rogue.

The one you meet there when you travel, are already cool headed.

Also if you're male in abroad married to Nigerian or anyother nationality, make your next of kin your mother for all your properties, businesses, cars, et all.

Then make your mother to will those properties only at her demise, to you.

If you are divorced by your wife before her death, wife gains nothing.
If she dies before wife divorces you, you gain your properties back, and find another trusted ally to send ownership to.

Love is no longer blind these days.
So much wisdom. Someone like me my mother is late, who may I use to protect my assets in this context.

I know of one foolish Nigerian woman. Daughter of an ex NYSC director living in the UK. She brought her sister with two kids to come and stay in her husband house for over 5 months.

When the husband gave the sister two weeks notice to leave the house as he is the one supporting his wife and two kids and then the sister and two kids. She went to lie to the police that he was physically abusing her.

That was how the police told him to leave the house oh. The stupid idiot thought she will win the house and car and the husband will continue to pay mortgage.

After a good 5 years in court battle, She got nothing, right now she is living in rented accommodation and trying to use her kids as pawns. She will hardly let them call him and she starves her children so that when the husband gets to have them e go dey pain am.

It's not like that. Many ladies are in marriage for benefits. Once you are able to work their papers to travel, just know the marriage is finished. Not all ladies o,but so many of them..
Re: How UK-Based Nigerian Women Exploit Law To Chase Out Husbands by Mccollins042(m): 2:38pm On Mar 22, 2025
Women are naturally created to be helpers to men, subordinates, they are meant to be submissive to their husbands and men are meant to love and care for their wives and families being the head of the home.
Whenever this rule is broken the family gets destroyed. Whenever a woman becomes the breadwinner there is a problem, when the man stops loving his wife there is a problem etc.
The west has taught women that they are not subordinates to their husbands and made their laws to that effect there by destroying families, the smallest units of every society.

Nothing will change till they retrace their steps. No organisation survives without a leader, none!

This guy must be a simp. He just married a 16 yrs old gal only to refused to touch her. Let me ask what did the gal came to do. She just came to learn how to cook, to be nurse and to be a good wife. The guy is wicked and stuppid

He failed in his conjugal responsibility rather than thanking the guy that got his wife pregnant, he chose to make quarrel with a woman that saves his generation from extinction.

To me the marriage is not yet valid because unconsummated. Unconsummated marriage is not a valid marriage.

Foolish Igbo men with low self-esteem...why must it always be my tribesmen who do all these rubbish

Why train a gal and take her abroad of all places as ur wife, esp an Igbo gal fr dat matter

Why are Igbo men afraid of marrying already literate lady who has finished school

Why do they like playing fatherly role...

Everything is not about money, sometimes you use ur number six and reason well

No matter how they warn them to stop taking Nigerian women abroad esp Igbo women, they will never hear

I pray more of such men keep learning the hard way
You seems to have a problem with Igbo people. You have attacked both their males and females in your tirade. You think that high rate of divorce is peculiar to Igbos or Nigerians? Do you know the rate of divorce among Whites? You people and your hasty generalization. If not for insincerity, manipulation and greed among humans, what's wrong with taking care of someone you love and care about?

A lot of women go through hell in Nigeria in the name of marriages, such cheating, narcissism, wife battering (physical abuse), etc.

When such husbands try to exhibit those traits abroad, their Nigerian wives will use those foreign laws to deal with them personally

So, the next time you see a Nigerian man crying that his wife kicked him out of the house, don't forget to ask him what he did to her.
You people are just terrible. The point isn't about bad husbands in Nigeria, the point is that we have seen countless videos of women physically abusing their husbands in the UK. For a women to physically abuse their husband, they must have emotionally violated and murdered them. Are you now saying because some men abuse their wives in Nigeria, then it's ok for women to abuse their husbands overseas?

There are sooo many more successful marriages .... of abroad based men/women marrying a Nigerian based and taking them abroad. This one picked based on location ... a young girl from the village ... because she was the daughter of friends if his parents. Was the girl interested in him as a husband?.....or if he can fulfill her dream .. which she let him know from jump? While in Europe ... what kind of communication was he having with her that he didn't know she was pregnant ...and had a child? ...likely he was in prison. In the UK ... he was correcting her ...what does that mean? ...guess he forgot he wasn't in Nigeria. Knowing his status ... his stay depending on the relationship ...and his maintenance depending on her ..he should've been humble until he found a job and can stand on his own. Easier said than done.
This whole episode does not support the headline. Husbands get tossed to the streets without even hitting or abusing the wife ...but this one had fights ....fights. I'm surprised he wasn't kicked out after the first one .

The pastor then asked him to share with the other men in the church as to how he manages his wife.
The man stood up and said the wife warned him not to stand up other wise she will beat him when they get home.

At the point he became aware of her betrayal re child as he alleged he needed to accept that it happened and forgive her that in life things happens especially to a 16 year old child or move on.

It can’t be undone and repeated arguments over it means that the relationship has to end. Not everyone can sustain a long distance relationship for years. Know this and know peace.

Marriages was not designed to be long distance hence some of the societal problems. People are not there raising their children. It’s not all about money.

1. I am suddenly reminded of the class of Nigerian men who keep one family abroad and another young woan tied down with children in Nigeria. This will not work either since we have seen this play out so many times to probably realize that there is a good reason why Nigerian women abroad are cautious about daying Nigerian men abroad. undecided

2. Ah! Do you think women abroad do not learn like Nigerian women in Nigeria? Try that and these abroad women will eventually show you even more lessons of how women can never be toys for men. Do you think they never shine their eyes on that fraud? grin

At the core of this remains the fact that many Nigeria generally lack as far as social and emotional intelligence is concerned. This is at the core of the many abusive and/or toxic relationships that society condones. undecided

Stop weaponising the system against your husbands’

Meanwhile, an official of the MET police has issued a stark warning to Nigerian women in the United Kingdom, urging them to desist from using law enforcement as a tool to oust their husbands from their homes.

The caution was delivered during a special women’s programme at Divine Restoration International Church, located at Hanworth House, John Ruskin Street, Camberwell, London.

Addressing the congregation, largely composed of Nigerian women, particularly of Yoruba descent, the officer, who alternated between English and Yoruba, expressed concern over the growing trend of family breakdowns fuelled by false allegations and police interventions.

According to the officer, it has been estimated that over 70 per cent of Yoruba women in England, Wales, and Ireland are single mothers, colloquially referred to as ‘Dalemosu’ in Yoruba. Many, he noted, had threatened their partners with police action, a practice that not only fractures homes but also deprives children of fatherly guidance.

The officer stressed that both parents play vital roles in a child’s upbringing, warning that using the justice system to remove fathers from their children’s lives would have long-term consequences on family stability and social cohesion.

While acknowledging that law enforcement should be contacted in genuine cases of abuse, the officer cautioned against fabricating accusations to gain an upper hand in marital disputes.

He also urged the women to be vigilant against the rising tide of knife crimes in the UK, a crisis that disproportionately affects young people, including children of African heritage.

While the police statement sparked mixed reactions, with some women defending their right to seek protection in troubled marriages, others acknowledged that some individuals abuse the system.

Many argue that the complexities of immigration, financial independence, and shifting gender roles contribute to marital tensions in the Diaspora, making it crucial to approach these issues with fairness and restraint.

The call from law enforcement serves as a reminder that while legal protections exist for victims of domestic abuse, these laws should not be manipulated to unfairly punish spouses or separate children from their fathers.

“Let peace reign in your homes. Allow your children to benefit from the love of both parents. The law is there to protect, not to be weaponised,” the Met officer said[/b]..

I'm not tribalistic and I will never be...but I say the truth wen I see it

U don't even know dat I'm from orlu imo state

But it doesn't stop.me frm calling my tribesmen out...say the truth no matter what

Igbo men like playing odogwu and fatherly roles to women, dats why they are the biggest victims in all these

So many Nigerian couples enjoying their lives abroad with no issues, and that's because the husbands use their sense to know that abroad is not the same as Nigeria where you all can get away with anything

If you can't live with the consequences of your actions, stay in naija, very simple.
