Fubara already said thst the old assembly was dilapidated, so he demolished it to build another one, which he had already started
Building a new house may be a good gesture. Is it not more appropriate to make arrangement for place to be used tentatively before the new complex is built. If it takes 3 years to complete, will the state be without state house of assembly for that period. Was it the governor that realised that the complex was dilapidated, or it was the assembly members that called his attention to it? Was it demolished in good faith? Were those using it carried along? Something does add up here.

What a waste of public funds, the people who collaborated to bring this building down ought to be in jail, in a sane country.
Nonsense talk.

Rubbish lie, he demolished it simply to prevent the member from sitting so that they would not be able to remove him. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows this is exactly what happened.

Did the House vote for it to be demolished? Did they vote for any money to be spent to rebuild it?
NO NO NO.

So according to Tinubu, Fubara was not reconstructing the building.

It was the military administrator that started the foundation this week.

Babablu and lies of demons.
How can a governor bring down the parliament building in the first place?

Is it being reconstructed with his personal money?

Which road and bridges.. Fubara has not yet unveiled any project on his own as all the projects he commissioned are Wike's projects which he started..even the ring road that's under construction is Wike's brain child. This house of assembly complex has taken over 15 months after splashing over 19 billion into the building it's still at block and earth works levels showing slowed speed. And be reminded that it was Fubara's supporters that bombed the complex and he used caterpillars to bulldoze it down the next day out of fear of impeachment
Are you based in Rivers State? Go to Rivers 1st be saying rubbish

Don't mind the blind hypocrites.

Imagine Tinubu demolishing the House of Reps because they were about to impeach him.
These blind delusional hypocrites will be crying and wailing all over social media and TV.

With all the fighting, infighting and distractions, these Fubara was able to put some infrastructure on ground.
The guy tried.

You are not only ill-formed but also myopic and thwarted in your opinions. Pls don't come here and mislead people because of your partisan, ignorance and tribalistic disposition.

With the way Fubara was going with projects, he would be the best governor in terms of infrastructural deployment. So keep your opinion to your warped mind
Re: Admiral Ibas Inspecting Reconstruction Of Rivers House Complex by gabbytabby:
Because Fubara bombed and bulldozed the complex without proper consultation with lawmakers (whom he had sacked unilaterally and against the law of the land) and adequate arrangements for alternative location not made.

I thought one of the reasons this guy was appointed was because Fubara didn't make attempt to reconstruct the assembly complex? undecided

He demolished it without their approval.
He used four men legislators instead of 32.

He never paid their salaries despite signing an agreement in the presence of Jagaban.

Agreement is Agreement
Agreement is between two himans and is breakable without attracting the law into personal affairs. Thats horseshit analysis by you.

Tilumbu is an agbaya ! He clearly wanted to pin all the blame on Fubara. He never mentioned Wike or his stooge -the speaker Amawhule- Tilumbu needs Wike to rig for him again in 2027! Wike is a born rigger! E no go better for Tilumbu & Wike! Now Tilumbu is going after Bauchi governor because unlike other so-called PDP leaders , he wants to take on Wike & reverse the damage he has done to PDP.

APC is all about looting and propaganda hence they should be called A-looter Propaganda Congress.

What has changed since 2015 for better? Has everything not worsened into extreme poverty and inflation plus unemployment shege?

Emergingnation:
Flashback: How Bola Tinubu spoke highly of Buhari in 2015, named PDP ‘Poverty Development Party

National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu had during the presidential campaign in 2015, referred to President Muhammadu Buhari as the only solution for the security and economic challenges facing Nigeria.

During a mega presidential rally, the former governor of Lagos State recalled how some powerful nations in the world returned to army generals when they were challenged, saying “Major General Buhari would revive Nigeria’s economy”.

He named the current opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP as the “Poverty Development Party saying they had nothing to offer.

His words at the time were; “Every nation has a period of their own challenges, when America was challenged, they turned to one great man, their ex-military general, General Eisenhower. When the French were challenged, they turned to their general, Charles de Gaulle.

“When Britain was challenged, they turned to their general. Today, Nigeria is economically and physically challenged so we turn to General Muhammadu Buhari. He is the right man for the job. If you talk about military experience, he has it abundantly, he has courage, simplicity, he has it abundantly.

“If you talk about great determination, a combination of vision and ability to perform, honesty and integrity, he has it abundantly.

“I laugh when the incapable government, ‘Poverty Development Party’ PDP were talking. They have nothing again to say, they now want to question the qualifications of General Buhari and look for his certificate”.

Following the manifestos in 2015 which projected the APC presidential candidate as a ‘saviour’, Buhari defeated the then incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan with Nigerians expecting a total change in security and economy.

Check out pictures of the Rivers State Adminstrator, Vice Admiral Ibas inspecting reconstruction of Rivers State house of Assembly complex constructed by Governor Sim Fubara.
The president said in his speech that Fubara was not doing anything about the demolished assembly or is it a case of giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it?
