Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State on Saturday cautioned the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and President Muhammadu Buhari to abstain from influencing tribunal judgements in favour of the APC.
Fayose was reacting on Saturday to the tribunal judgement that sacked Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the one that ruled for a re-run in Akwa Ibom.
“The seeming collaboration between the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government and a section of the judiciary is worrisome and portends grave danger to the corporate existence of Nigeria.
“This is worse than corruption that the president claimed to be fighting,” Fayose said.

The Governor added that “the desperation to take over the South-south states of Rivers and Akwa Ibom through the backdoor by President Muhammadu Buhari and his APC, in preparation for 2019, using the judiciary may, cause anarchy in the country.”
Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the Governor accused the APC and President Buhari of another grand plot to rig the forthcoming Kogi and Bayelsa states governorship election using the newly appointed Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and the Director General of Department of State Security (DSS), Alhaji Lawal Daura.

He further described the suspension of the appeal court judgment on Senate President Bukola Saraki as part of the grand plot to use a section of the judiciary to wrestle power from those the Buhari’s presidency is not comfortable with adding that the indefinite adjournment by the appeal court smacked of interference from the powers that be.
“There were widespread electoral malpractices during the presidential election in the North, with rampant under-aged voting. Yet, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) did not take steps capable of threatening Nigeria’s corporate existence.
“Curiously too, in a State like Yobe where it was established that the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Abu Zarma received N15 million bribe from the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Zakari Deba to influence the State Governorship election, the tribunal did not nullify the election,” he said.

The governor called on President Buhari to, in the overall interest of Nigeria, tread cautiously in his bid to consolidate power and prepare ground for his possible re-election bid.
Governor Fayose, who reminded the President of the wild, wild west of the mid 60s and the 1983 saga between late Chief Adekunle Ajasin and Chief Akin Omoboriowo, which was orchestrated by the then Federal Government, said: “the consequences of the orchestrated plot to prevent the people of Western Region from having the government of their choice through a fair and just election in 1964 should be a watchful example for Nigerians in general and President Buhari in particular.”
He appealed to the people of the South-south not to be intimidated and discouraged, expressing hope that the appellate court will protect the wish of the people of Rivers and Akwa Ibom States.
“Governors Wike and Udom, as well as the teeming supporters of our party, PDP in Rivers and Akwa Ibom States should not be deterred and discouraged as I am sure that by the special grace of God, they will laugh last,” the governor said.

No matter what they do, they will never get Akwa-ibom nor Rivers.

We all know B00HARI has a hand in all these, But this is the farthest he can go, The house of assembly election was upheld but why was the governorship cancelled??.... and some zombies are saying "there was no election in Rivers".

If you believe APC will win Rivers, then you should also believe PDP will win Kano.

Fayose and Wike are the faces of the opposition, very determined and dogged politicians.

Mr 'Talks a lot of nonsense' is talking out of insecurity because he's worried his own turn might be coming, you think people have forgotten about "Ekiti-Gate" and Obanikoro and all that? This has NOTHING to do with APC or PDP, and only vacuous minds do not understand. This is a fight against brazen impunity. In which developed country would all this nonsense have been tolerated?

What well meaning Nigerians are after is for whoever wins the election to win it free and fair. If Wike truly won the election free and fair, then he has noting to fear in the re-run.

Here comes the loose cannon again, APC was also responsible for your madness as you stormed the courts in Ekiti beating up judges and judicial officers. Ayo Fayose, your day of reckoning is near.

We don't fear a re-run. In fact, I was expecting it, I said it last night here. Now we will shut the mouth of some people who thinks APC stands a chance in Rivers.

Fayose the perpetual noise maker and attention seeker, his day is not complete without wailing about Buhari. Anyway, he can wail till eternity, Rivers and Akwa Ibom election will be conducted again and properly this time around. The era of shambolic elections are gone for good in Nigeria. If you can't win a legitimate mandate, you have no business ruling the people.

sobs!!!!!! it pains me how yu see youths @25 and above stand up to make noise just because of politics. how does d person who wins the election affect your unemployment status when yu know what's happening to Nigeria?? How I wish some pple will learn some lessons. Never in my life will I stand up to debate politics instead I waste my time discussing football. we are never wise enough to notice that things are moving from bad to worst. who among those governorship candidates know yu n even care for yu that yu stand up to run ur mouth all in d name of being a fan... youths should grow up... you shout from now till next 1million yrs to come, anybody that wins d election don't give a damn abt yu rather he concentrates n root enough money for His generation n yu d fan remains in poverty till yu go 6ft below..

In Nigeria, universities produce graduates every year Buh no job. no electricity even at d country supplying light to nearby countries yet your own country remains in blindness... No good road.. corruption in all sectors even in churches yet yu jump up n down like a fool shouting APC n PDP ... yu should be ashamed of yaself.. The person your campaigning for is almost ya grand father's age mate yet ur father is there dying in abject poverty..

Over my dead body to be someone's political fan..... whether yu vote or not,it doesn't count anything .. he who rigs well, wins well. nothing concerns me there..
I will never in my life go to a pooling arena to vote cos it will never secure me a.good job as a mechanical engineer after all the efforts wasted in school n graduating with second class hons, joined with one yr wasted doing nysc .... matches
