I just saw a video of some groups of Ikwerre people protesting on the road against Ohanaeze ndi Igbo and the current president who is an Ikwerre man. I think it is high time this matter is settled in court. The Igbos should sue the Ikwerre people in court to stop them from answering and giving their children Igbo names. The Igbos have suffered enough for this so-called south-south Igbos in Nigeria. They disassociate from Igbo but when they commit any crime in Nigeria, the Igbos suffer the consequences because they bear Igbo names. For example, the 1966 coup was spearheaded by Nzeogwu from Delta state and some of his brothers today disassociate from Igbos, but the entire Igbos suffered the consequences of his action because he bears the Igbo name. If the Ikwerre want to be taken seriously about their Benin origin, they should start by changing their names to Benin names.

Wike is just playing politics. My problem is the ordinary Ikwere people who still give their children Igbo names but continue to claim they are from Benin. Same way you have the right to sue someone for using the same or familiar name of your company in court to avoid people interacting with them thinking it's you, the Igbos sue the Ikweree people on similar grounds too.

Not necessary. Some Ikwerres such Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Duncan Okechukwu(Duncan Mighty) and Tonto Dike,say they are Igbo. Some other Ikwerres such as Governor Nyesome Wike, Okachukwu Dibia and Godspower Onuekwa, say they are not

Ikwerres make up just 3 local governments. They are too small in number compared with the Igbo nation.

So it should be of no concern to any Igbo if Ikwerres deny being Igbos or not. They accept or deny will not add or subtract significantly to the Igbo nation

Unfortunately Nigeria has no functional Judiciary right now. What Nigeria has now is Judicial market where Justice and Injustice are available in the Judicial market display for you to pouches your desired kind of Judgement depending on your affordability.

On a norm, the politicians are aware that there's no existing judicial system in Nigeria, so if it wasn't for their own criminal purposes, they would have scraped off the Useless institution long ago, but because they're using it to oppress the poor and the less privileged, and also to defend their politically criminal activities, they will never see anything wrong with the system. You're wrong when you say they voluntarily bear Igbo names, that's who they're for identity sake, they can't change that no matter how much they try, they're challenging the God who created them in that identity.

If you watch carefully you will notice that those who champion this identity denial are within youth circle, that's those who either have been successfully brainwashed or those who are on political payroll to champion the divide and scatter agenda, the elderly ones who says they're not Igbo does so for political reasons, go and check.

Think about Wike and Amaechi, you know that today Amaechi admitted his full Igbo identity as evident in his name just like the Ohaneze president general and most of them that still respect their integrity, Wike said he's not Igbo and the reason is very predictable.
