You can't have 2 captains on a ship. Wike has surely lost control, though he still has some influence. But that's not what he wanted. He wanted control because anybody can have influence, but only one person can control, hence his desperation to topple fubara and his dep. Fubara may have his own losses too but Wike is the biggest loser.

First, when they come back after 6 months, I don’t see the possibility of the House Members continuing with impeachment proceedings against Fubara. Everybody will just see them as the aggressors and I don’t think it will augur well with them.
