You are truely jobless to have such time to trace and mention a post made in 2023
He said his is an international student in Chile meaning he is a full-time student, plus he claims to have a full-time job in the biggest bank in Chile, but he is always on nairaland day and night so how does he get the time for university assignments, projects and exams and a full-time job in the biggest bank in Chile and also on nairaland day and night posting and replying to posts? Well maybe his Chile is here on nairaland.

When I first came to Chile, meat was basically off-limits. It’s so expensive here. The amount of money that could buy one kilo of meat would easily get you 3 to 5 kilos of chicken and honestly, I’ve never really been a fan of chicken. So after the first two weeks of eating meat, I had to let it go.

But then… I discovered a hack! I started asking the butcher for bones and these weren’t just bare bones. They used to come with a surprising amount of meat still on them. That’s how I kept eating meat without breaking the bank! 😄

I’ll never forget the first time I got a proper job and received my first salary. I went straight to the market and bought 10 kilos of meat. I was eating meat every single day, like I was making up for lost time, until I eventually got tired of it. 😂

This is intriguing considering Chile is close to three major beef producing nations - Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

Yea, I appreciate his honesty. I just told him I can't marry a man like that and it didn't even blossom into a relationship. He cut me off when I got engaged.
So you're finally engaged? Long time coming, I am genuinely happy for you ❤️. Rooted for/secretly hoped things would work out for you and Alexandra back then when you gave him greenlight. Congratulations 👏🎉 poco

Correct guy!

That's the way to go.

We don't need to consume much carbs as we age.
For me, carbs are okay for children as they have the energy and strength to burn off the excess sugar from carb digestion.

But for adults, nope. We don't play like they do. So, why eat so much carbs?

If you're above 35years of age, you need to change your eating style. Add more leafy vegetables to your meal.

Veggies + healthy fats > protein > carb last.

May people are insulin resistant but they don't know it yet or already on the edge of becoming one.

Yes, they are. That part Nigerians call biscuit bone is from the ribs. There is the part that doesn't have bone too. Your choice...😘

Saw this on the chilean subreddit and it shows how different chilean spanish is different from the main spanish. Fun fact when I was learning spanish, I used to watch 31 minutos a chileans children show to get the differences between chilean spanish and spanish from spain

Migration is never an easy decision. Honestly, I came to Chile because I initially planned to use it as a stepping stone to move to the USA. But after everything I went through in this country, especially during my first few months, I don’t think I ever want to start over from scratch again.

Chile has been good to me, and now I see real possibilities to achieve my ultimate goals here. Of course, the USA might make the path to my dreams easier, but starting fresh in a new country, even with a green card, is not something I’m willing to go through anymore.

I was looking at my AFP contributions today, and it reminded me of those tough early days how they used that system to make life so difficult for me when I was job hunting. Every time you apply for a job, the first thing they ask is: do you have AFP? Do you have Fonasa or Isapre? Fonasa and Isapre are types of health insurance here. It was a classic chicken-and-egg problem you can’t get a job without them, but you need a job to get them.

And it’s not just work. Even renting a decent apartment comes with the same obstacles. Landlords ask for your AFP, your health insurance, and your last six months of salary slips.

Now, imagine going through all of that for a country, building that foundation, contributing, struggling, and then after a few years, leaving it behind to start over somewhere else. How many times can a person hit reset in one lifetime? How many years do we really have?
And there's citizenship path for you in Chile ?

Because if there's then that's all that matters.

No need running up and down .

The car own is funny here. Chile isn’t a rich country. It’s a middle income country and bros I am yet to see below 2018 cars on the road here. Used cars are banned in chile. You can only buy brand new or used within Chile. Due to trade agreements Chile has with countries like the USA, china, and the EU there are no import duties on cars here making Chile one of the cheapest places in the world to buy a car. My current car will probably cost 4 times the price it cost me to buy it here in chile in Nigeria. I don’t just understand what is going on in that country and everyone keeps on accepting it like it’s normal. Nigerians and Africans are just suffering for nothing.
Bro, how popular are English words used as brand name or business name by local companies in Chile?

Or is it extremely rare? Only Spanish?

Chilean and Spanish brands have Spanish names. English brands have English names.

Chile is not a bad country, but with my findings. I think the residency pathway is not easy compared to Mexico and Panama.
I wish you good luck.

Honestly I don’t even know. Even the Gucci shoes I got off on sale cost me around 1000 usd for the two of them. The same shoes will probably be sold to me 10 million in Nigeria and will probably be fake 😂
C'mon, man!

Lol. It seems we are only allowed to type in English on this forum. My initial response to this post was in Spanish and the bot banned me. The second time it's happening. I thought it was an error the first time. Shame on seun.
Anyway, I was saying that the general way of saying these words or phrases would still be understood if you used them, right? Like if you said "es/toy abu/rr/ido", you would still be understood as being bored, yes?

Oh yes if you speak normal Spanish people will understand but if they speak Chilean Spanish to you and you only know normal Spanish it’s gonna be hard to understand
