no be even matter of architectural mastery. what he's saying is that buildings and structures should at least have a lil cultural touch, it's one massive way to protect and pass down culture from generation to generation.
check out a lot of Japanese house I mean private houses, you still see ancient shoji style, and like you also mentioned Italy, Egypt and the rest...
