And to think Femi Lazarus follow for our commonsense geng pastors...now imagine the level of shege these gospel musicians would be getting from your normal entitled god of men.
I hate working with pastors ehn, nobody like free work pass them. Acting like "God bless you" na currency cheesy

Christianity is Nigeria is more chaotic than ever. So much noise, less substance

Can I invite Femi Lazarus to my street fellowship, and he'll come for free? Femi no dey collect, whether na charge or Honorarium?

It's funny how these pastors who are only seen in Invite-me-I-invite-you crusades have the guts to castigate another group who are doing the same thing with them.

If you will not pay Gospel Artistes, use your church choir.

Na why Bro Gbile Akanni still remains my favorite.
Initially I thought Femi was on to something when he said after Gospel artistes collect money and start rolling on the floor when performing , that they only being motivated by the money to put up a show and nothing else. But when he started suggesting that the gospel artistes not get paid at all , I see say that one na winchi man things. If gospel artistes don't get paid, how will they cater for their bands and individual financial needs ?

The truth is the pastors even make more money than some of those gospel artistes in the name of honorarium.

That's why the artistes will not honor some invites. Some churches will put the face of those big artistes on their program banner and they won't show up.

Apostle Femi Lazarus has been vocal in recent times calling out “Gospel Artistes “ who charge humongous amounts to “minister “ in churches .

He recently projected on his church’s screen ; a mail from a gospel artiste stating his terms of service for him to perform in a church and part of the terms includes honorarium of 10k USD , executive hotel suites for the artiste and his team , first class flight ticket for the artiste and business class flight ticket for his crew members , etc.

Since Femi Lazarus started the callout weeks ago , Timi Dakolo has been subtly shading Femi Lazarus and questioning why pastor’s get to collect offerings , tithes , special donations , etc but they expect gospel artistes not to get paid . He even suggested that churches should rather use their resident choir if they can’t afford the popular gospel artistes fees instead of the pastors whining online about the gospel artistes fees charged .

Now Timi Dakolo has gone a step further by revealing that Femi Lazarus actually charges 150 USD per head for entrance into his international school of ministry . Dakolo queried why Femi Lazarus will charge others to teach them about the ministry/gospel of Jesus that should be free . He is saying if Gospel artistes are to be performing for free then pastors too should not be asking congregants to pay for any teaching whatsoever in the house of God.

Below is link to Femi Lazarus school of ministry payment evidences posted by Dakolo.

If u ask me , I think Dakolo’s point of view is quite logical
Both of them are hustlers trying to get their daily bread. Pastorprenuer and Singerprenuer all dey the same category

Honestly, ur ignorance is a bliss.

This was the same thing I told a former colleague back then who saw a ticket posted by one of his ex-university mates on twitter and was surprised that people win tens of millions from sports betting. He said he wished he knows how to play sports betting that he will just be cashing out considering he's a soft guy who is actually loaded (aside from his salary, he's from upper upper middle-class family)

I just told him to not even dream about it because he will regret the day he ever learnt how to bet. I said I can teach him the terms, how to forecast and how to bet but he will later cuss me in life when the thing starts eating into his finances when he becomes an addict. He go dey inside church service he go dey check games wey don come or ticket wey he fit quickly cash out before everything cast. grin
Which is worse, Taking drugs, betting or doing MLM
Those are 3 areas I will gladly accept and embrace my ignorance. Add crypto to it

Pastor Chris own is still understandable to an extent.

According what I read, it seems he gave Gospel artistes like Sinach, Frank Edwards and co platform to blossom in their music career. More like he sponsored their music careers till they became mega stars who now charge millions to appear at concerts and church programs.

I think his grouse with them is that they somehow feel irrespective of his contribution to their career in the early stages, it is about time he starts paying them for them to honor invites to his programs. They feel they will be losing money if they honor his invites to perform for free when they can go for other events same day and they will get paid their worth.

In a way we can say he's trying to reap what he has sowed in their career in the past and they don't seem to agree he has not already reaped enough.

Where Femi's own come from is what I don't understand.

Tomi Dakolo is right on this

I think someone here said something sometime ago that “Never allow yourself to be used for free for services that others are being paid for”

Gospel that should be free and disciples being taught how to be like Christ are being charged for that but Gospel Artiste who compose songs should not be charging fees

Moreover, Big Gopel artiste equals large offering for that day program so why is he complaining

If you allow them use you, na your problem be that
I said something like that. At a certain age you should know how life dey run, People wey dey run this parole are not older than you nor smarter than you. Many people on this board are older than Femi Lazarus possibly smarter. All them Adeboye Kumuyi, Olukoya Pastor Chris all started being GO in their 30s

If you are above 30s and a member of an organization where you put valuable time to and you dedicate effort, pls try to be at the table where they are sharing things, or make an effort to get there

Wetin do Lazarus voice when he no fit sing? If Dakolo enter Night hangout joint he wont be asked to sing for free but he is asked to sing for free in church

When you dey do birthday, Pastors will give you his "God bless you" as gift, when Pastor dey do birthday, they wont accept the same currency of "God bless you" as gift, they want real material gifts

Any of those things is terrible depending on the level of addiction. Growing up I have experienced at least one extreme of each of these things. I cant say which is worse.

I knew someone, bright guy. Was in first class at 300 in Chemical engineering. This guy hit gambling addiction, he started borrowing money, begging, then resorted to stealing and he was owing the bet shop a lot of money too. The guy had to run away from school when they were hunting for him. That was the end of his academics, the first class just waste. Let's not even talk about what would have happened if he was caught.
So yes, gambling addicts can display the same level of madness as drug addicts, maybe we can just make a case for the direct effects drugs has on the body.

the same applies to crypto and fx trading
they have the same traits as a long con - where someone has been on it, making small and moderate gains and then he sees a del that will make him blow confam. and all his patience and common sense goes out the window. he borrows, steals gets everyone to put money - and it is a rugpull

i had a friend who post nysc got into forex and he was making money and people were giving him money to trade - and then he went for a big one and failed. same thing dude went underground. people were hunting for him. to the point where they went to his home to harass his mother.

People dey steal and kill to fund betting lifestyle oh. All those people you see at Baba Ijebu shop, you are certain 80% of them dont have money to feed next week but they will still play 2sure and 3 direct

Just as you can start selling things to get that high with drugs, you can also sell things to get that hammer with betting and MLM

How many times have we heard bankers dip into customer accounts to fund betting or MLM where they can hammer quick and return the initial money they they wll start competing with Dangote for richest man

I agree drugs is worse cos it hits your health straight but those ones too, na highway to unclothedness
