School fees is what you pay if you need knowledge...no school is free because the lecturers have to be paid for their work.

$150 is reasonable.....but demanding $10k honorarium is absurd....afterall na the people go decide wetin be honorarium not the singer

There are lots of schools of ministries that doesn't charge at all. People give freely. If God had called the ministry to bear, then He can handle its running.

We shouldnt justify merchandise.

The Bible says buy the truth and sell it not.

Most of us don't serve any longer. We are now learned the art of merchandising everything we offer even in God’s house.

There were schools of ministry long before this generation of preachers and they existed without charging money. The goal was to see Christ glorified. Today, people pay to be thought the Bible so they can also go and replicate same.

Everything service to God has to be freewill.

If Jesus called you to undertake anything indeed, He will prove it by running its costs. That is ministry. That is service to God and He pays you for your service.

Koinonia School of Ministry (KSOM) powered by Apostle Joshua Selman charges 10k as per last year. and the people who attend that school aren't just Nigerians. Plus, getting into it is competitive due to constraints in space and it runs for almost 9months.

Now, let me state:

The international and local students there aren't served less by paying N10k as registration fee for 9 long months or more.( I think it runs from Febraury to September)

Bishop David Oyedepo has never earned one naira from all the books he has written. He claimathag God gave him the knowledge for free and doesn't see why he should earn money from it. His books are sold and the money are committed to other things but not for him.

I had to point this out because you talked about cost of running a school of ministry.

I don't know if by chraging he sleeps well at night or not, but I do know what making merchandise of the gospel looks like.

Back to topic: Are there pastors who mirror this exact example that Pastor Femi Lazarus used to paint ALL gospel ministers? Of course there are! How come he never saw it fitting to talk about those one but find it convenient to pick on music ministers?

I dare say that that example is NOT representative of ALL gospel ministers even for those that charge. So let's be clear on that when presenting issues and take them on a case by case basis.

Have you seen the iterinary involved in hosting some of these "powerful men of God"?

Let me circle back to what you said about overheads in that school.

Do you know the cost implications of having a crew, who most times make their gospel ministry their full time job? Studio time? Logistics? This is akin to what the pastor's do. Same same!

So why are they being demonised if they "charge" for their services when the pastor's do the same?. How come Femi Lazarus won't say register for the school and give whatever the Lord gives you capacity to give?

Oh, isn't it a service they both render at the end of the day?

Go read Apostle Paul as he admonished that Pastors should work with their hands and not burden their members with their needs (even though the members are also adviced to communicate to the needs of those that labour over them in word and prayer).

This conversation the likes of Femi Lazarus are pushing is unneedful in my opinion. If a gospel artist charges outrageously find some other one who doesn't or which you can afford and be blessed by their gift instead of 'fueling" them, then later you come out to show us "receipts".

For me, concerning this matter, it seems like we go fishing for controversies where none exists. It was Pastors dragging Apostolic mantle the other time, then the tithe or no tithe, now we are seeing another needless conversation that does not edify the body.

Any gospel artist that his conscience with God is satisfied to charge (not outrageously), should, and if not, to God be the glory. At the end we all will stand before the one who reveals all things!

Both gospel singers and pastors are Ministers of God.

As a ministers of God, our major focus shouldn't be on money but soul winning and building lives spiritually.

Though money is important to running both ministries, but money shouldn't be the major focus.

Lust and love of money has destroyed so

If you feel the financial demands are expensive,get another person instead of trying to gaslight them meanwhile U are charging a fee for a faith schooling program that should be free!

They won't because you have to come in first before they catch you and strip you of all you have. But I tell you, they do it on special events where they only need big men, that is inside, among all they have under their radar.
