I Think MTN Scammed Me Now by chatinent(op):
I had about 68gb left on my Mifi so I decided to top it up with another 150gb (monthly plan). To my greatest disbelief, MTN removed my 68gb and left only the new 150gb.

This is so bad!

Maybe MTN removed the 68GB because it's tied to another data package, so they streamlined your account to reflect the most recent 150GB plan, which helps avoid any mix-ups or overlapping charges

They have a 750million naira fine to pay currently

It is expected that everybody will collect

Going by your explanation, it is still scam.

The old one hasn't expired. So if I did a new plan (still on their FUP package), they have no rights to remove the old plan wey I use money buy for stupid overlap reasons they may tender. What they should have done is show me both side by side not delete the old data.

Give them a call then. But I'm quite sure your 68gb is still intact, just on another package.

I called their customer care line and these pastards defended it saying when you do a new plan, any sum on the old plan disappears and that you cannot do a new plan until the old expires.

Note: I have actually done a new plan and saw the old balance before. So this scam is new.

They even called it an Unlimited Plan. What is unlimited in a plan that doesn't last up to a week? Do you even know that when when the device is off, MTN still charges for data usage?

It's proven that MTN are scammers! I must replace them. It's now a priority .
