ChristineC:Okay, let’s even agree that the vehicle is used. Is it a Nigerian-used one or Tokunbo? What model and year is this luxurious car that one can purchase for N15 million? |

THIS present administration has got many things to worry about. Insecurity is one of them. The high cost of living is another. The worst appears to be hunger and extreme poverty, which could trigger unrest with debilitating consequences. The government should act fast to arrest this ugly situation.Source- Punch Editorial I don't know if it's just me that observed that anytime u step outside a mall, bank, market, hospital, normal neighborhood provision shop, fast food outlet/restaurant, outside your house, etc.; u will always meet at least one person who will approach u to ask for money to buy food due to extreme hunger in the land. |

Thanks for sharing, bros! I see they’re all Sienna vehicles, and the most recent model is from 2011, going for N17mil. Abeg, could you confirm if they are Nigerian-used or Tokunbo? Also, the key word for me here is '’luxury car,’’ and I still don’t see any in that photo, bros. Maybe Izzou can help us confirm something when he’s online! |

diggz:Cars not older than 2012 (Tokunboh) fall into the 15 million category. I won't consider them luxurious though, because they are old. So, in order to make them luxurious, we now "Upgrade"....2012 car will be upgraded to 2018 or 2020. Interiors will be changed and tech accessories added. |

izzou:sienna has the same frame from 2008 to 2019 or so so you can buy a 2008 sienna and throw the body of a 2019 sienna on it. i actuality came across a 2009 sienna with 2012 body one time. horrible thing. |

obainojazz:To be fair, based on Naija context, we can count certain types of Toyota vehicles as luxury cars... but not anything that falls within the N15 million range. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by diggz: 10:52am On Mar 25, 2025 |
My only problem na the luxury car and N15mil in the same sentence. |

GloriousGbola:Many of those upgrades look horrible. And you're right, most cars maintain the frame of a model for up to 8 or 10 years. Prados and Hilux are the major victims of upgrades |

GloriousGbola: ![]() Na upgrade ohhh... A member of my church was japaing and he wanted to dispose his 08 Hilux. This truck was battered and dilapidated If you see how Car sellers were begging to buy it? ![]() Hilux is about 60 to 80 million. How many Nigerians fall into the category of spending that casually ? Na upgrades full everywhere |

afrodoc2:The Nigerian used cars market is actually booming now. Many Middle class Tokunboh car dealers, now have a Nigerian used car catalogue on the sides, because a lot of people cannot afford Tokunbohs anymore. A 2005 Corolla is 7.5 million naira in Tokunboh. How many people can splash this on a car; a 20 year old car for that matter? Na Nigerian used, men dey use hold body now. |
