Good morning everyone. I’d like to ask if travel health insurance can be used for enrollment and if not how can I get student health insurance. Thank you
You can get TK Student health Insurance through Dr. walters. Search Dr. Walrers on Google and follow the prompts. You should get it within the hour.

Thank you so much. My school didn’t request for it. As for the WAEC Certificate I can print out the original from the WAEC portal right?
Just make sure you're not going with a digital copy. They need the original

It's not like the US. You can't get an earlier date.

Good morning my wonderful people, this thread has been a great help for me since I joined. I appreciate everyone that has been contributing in one way or the other.
Please I booked for AD since July 24th,2024 using the old website. I would like to know if it's still functioning or I need to apply on the new portal? And if it is still functioning, with the pace the embassy is going with AD now, what are the likely date or Month do you think I can fall on so I can plan towards that, as I have started applying to schools already and working towards SL as well. I would appreciate your input and advice @Hannania and others.

Thanks as I await your kind response.
The old booking is still active, and they're currently in July 2023. So please get admission for summer 2025 asap. We can't tell you the exact month, so just get the admission ready

ok. Will a print out of this be ok though or I have to go to my secondary school to get it. I have the certificate I printed out straight from the WAEC Portal.

Hi everyone, please I need help ASAP.
the embassy rejected my dr walter insurance i got from Expatrio. They said its for Schengen visa and I should get the correct incoming insurance. Please which insurance can I use??
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by jaeima: 2:27pm On Mar 25, 2025
You did a travel insurance of 3 months that’s why it was rejected. Your approval mail states an insurance of 6 months or over.
Most people submit the insurance used for their school enrollment (public or private).
So get any of the above and submit to the embassy.

The earliest you should be applying to is Winter semester 2026 which will start in October 2026 (Applications will open January 2026 for most schools)
That's your safest bet

Embassy Is still in July 2023, before they will even reach December 2023
Chances of them reaching December 2024 by this year is very minimal

And you have no business with the new portal anyway

If you get admission, enrol immediately,If you get your appointment after your school has resumed, you just need your enrollment letter for the next semester you're good to go

So just forget about this year, your target should be next year
Okay, thanks.

If you can get the official insurance document from Tk not that preliminary document then you’re good to use TK. The preliminary document doesn’t have the required information the embassy needs that’s why it’s always rejected.

If not, you can use mawista; you’ll get your official insurance documents in a few hours or the next day. Also note the instructions on the AM such as the required months the incoming insurance should last for.

Good evening all.

My school (Rhine-waals university of applied science) demanded that the students health insurance must be sent to them electronically by the health insurance company, which I did. am I expected to get that very health insurance letter for my visa interview??

Secondly, i want to believe that travel insurance is different from health insurance, and how can I get a travel insurance??

Good day,
It’s been more than 24hrs that I sent an email to info@lago.diplo.de to get clarification on category A study visa appointment, yet no response.
Will I still get feedback or they don’t reply mails

On the new application platform there’s nothing like Category A or B. If you are following this thread well, you have gotten this information since.

Hi Everyone, I noticed there isn't any tab to book appointment for students on germany embassy website. I can see for visit, ausbildung et al. Is there any reason for this or a new site for booking appointment on for students.

Hello everyone. I booked an appointment last year’s April, does anyone have an idea when it’s likely the embassy would call me for an interview?
