I got rejected. I wasn’t even accepted with no funding. Outright rejection.

I got the email on 18th Feb to check my application portal and i didn’t get in. I applied on Dec 15 the deadline.
I do hope you get in though. I do believe they send out people that got in their acceptance way later


The uni I got into with funding my email came in 4 and a half month after the Deadlime. But others got their email wayyy before me. So be hopeful and keep praying like your life depends on it

Sorry if I may ask, what program did you apply for? Another question I wanted to ask you please, after you submitted your application and paid your application fee, did they assign you a student ID number on your Beacon application portal? Did you see a Student ID number on your Beacon portal.

You use the i20 and pay the SEVIS fee for the admission you want.

ICBP can not see that you have admission so travel on your visit visa. You haven't even applied for the F1 visa so I'm not sure why you're thinking of all sorts off scenarios for something you have not applied for.

Noone can tell what date for interview you will get.
Till you schedule and see what you get

Hello. Clicking yes or no will not affect your admission decision. Aside of PhD applicants whose enrollment are based on availability of funds, all other student admissions (Bsc & MSc) is based on academic standings.
Click yes since you are genuinely in need of the financial aid and if there is no financial aid for you and you can cover the deficit the school will gladly offer you admission based on your academic qualifications. GOOD LUCK.

That honesty also will not affect your ongoing application with your present University. Some applicant might think that " If i tell my present University that i have put applications to other school they might not concentrate with me , or they might say if we deny him he or she still have other Universities to rely on, but that is not the case. American institutions will give you unbiased and honest admission judgement based on the application you have submitted. US embassy also expects an average F1 student visa applicant to have put admission applications to atleast two (2) schools. I will say be honest with your answer . GOOD LUCK.

i went to make MRV payment at the First bank and the applicant surname field on the portal was auto populated with my first name & last name. The bank staff advised me to initiate a new request on the AVITS portal, which I did by cancelling the initial request.

However after starting again, it now its says duplicate applicant found for user error. I check my profile and saw I have 2 applicant ID, but it’s giving me option to proceed and make payment. I have written support and they say they have escalated it, I don’t know how long I will have to wait for them.

Can I go ahead and make payment? I don’t want to make error. Thanks in advance

Don't make the payment otherwise you might ended up paying another MRV. Anything duplicate error must be sorted out first .
You should not have deleted your initial pending appointment. All you need is to click on pending appointment again and it will take you to the page where you will generate another MRV payment advise which you will take to the bank. The payment advice which you generated last for only 3 days and after 3 days it expired and that was why the teller asked you to go and generate another one.
On logging in to your avits profile , all you need to do is
to click on pending appointment but instead you canceled the pending appointment.
WAIT for Avits to clear your duplicate user or create another avits profile entirely by abandoning the present one. GOOD LUCK.

Please be patient but I don't know how long it will be for those support to rectify the issues.
I faced a similar issue that was how I went to YouTube and watched a video on how to solve the duplicate issues. I followed every steps everything seems perfect until I printed my appointment slips and found the wrong passport number I used to bypass it in the YouTube video on my appointment slip. I had to write to the support team no response yet. But why is the support team so slow?

I created the first ticket, they gave a generic response, I don’t think the person that attended to that first ticket has any idea on how to resolve the issue. I created the second ticket, they said they have escalated it. It been 2 weeks now and I haven’t heard from them. At this point, I don’t know what else to do, I have mailed the consular office, the Nigeria AVITS or whatever, still no response. What else can I do?? I need help

Payment by Card is the fastest because if your brother had paid the MRV successfully you would have been able to schedule your visa appointment almost immediately.

Nevertheless, the only avenue for you to lodge your complaint as mandated by the US embassy is to write an email from your registered email address. Below is Lagos & Abuja contacts and the email format.

Hello everyone. Please, I need advice. I started my avit application with lagos and used that to pay for visa fee. But I was able to get a date in May for an interview in Abuja. I have yet to submit my DS-160. If I submit my DS-160 to the Abuja consulate, can I still have my interview in Abuja without having any challenges on the interview day?

Hi. The most important aspect is for your DS-160 to match your interview location, so in your scenario i will recommend you fill another ds-160 based on Abuja post.
Come what may you will still have your interview successfully but some hard-line interview officers can use that negligence to deny your visa by seeing you as an unserious visa applicant (that is if the officer does not have any reason to deny you).
In USA visa denial record (because consulate must give denial or approval reasons) , arriving late to your post can be jotted down as the reason for your visa denial if the consular does not have any other reason. GOOD LUCK.

So are you saying once my DS 160 is filled for Abuja, and the appointment is in Abuja, I am good to go? Even though the MRV fees were paid for the Lagos location
