Offpoint1:
Whiteman is not better than Nigerian in anyway, historical evidence are there. Whiteman is just clever enough to use others in building his land.

It's better to be slave in your house, than a king in another man's house.

We are backward because of our GREED.
Funny, and funnier thing is that we are using the same whitemen language to debate this! grin grin

Let both check the meaning of "superior " slavery" and "better" then return here to continue this conversation. cool

Everything in this country is not moving well because of the type of the leadership we have in this country please let us ask for God intervention in the affairs of this country.

The best is to avoid it unless you're not a much lover of football Like me. cool

If it is a lie try checking your BP after the match. Well, if you're below 40yrs. Little probs. Cheers.

I am not aware Nigeria had match yesterday until I opened nairaland this morning.
Not really a football enthusiastic.... . I can't go all out to watch the super eagles. I am in my 50's though. ...no football match can give me any stress or BP....

No world cup for Nigeria.

Young men playing like pregnant women..
Sharp passes Zero.. heavy first touch everywhere.

Retrieve ball from opponent, use 1000 minutes dey think who you pass give.

No sharp offensiveness. Small thing, dem go pass go back. Mikel Obi pro max.

To trap ball na war. Pass nko...Zero..

Score one goal, switch off for 20 minutes.

Tinubu's evil aura rubs off on them again..

Akpabio stadium seems to carry bad luck too.

The stadium was named after one of the most sleaziest, corrupt and dangerous politicians ever in the history of Nigeria.

An unethical, immoral, anything-must-go-as-long-as-money-is-involved politician.

Congratulations to South Africa.
So them for name the stadium after your mother toto?

Those days ,with the exemption of top African football powerhouse like Cameroon,Egypt or Ghana no any other country can withstand Super Eagles in Lagos, iinfact at the mention of any new football(underdog)nations, you already know its a walk over for the Eagles.Okocha,Kanu ,Amokachi,Amunike, and the rest know they will get their report card after the match if they do anyhow,so all hands must be on deck to deliver a good result unlike now, that they play as if they are pregnant. No zeal, and determination.
This very Super Eagles team is good. Don't let the result fool you. All the coaches need to do is to improve the defence and the midfield. Luckily, we have enough players doing relatively well in Europe in these two areas for the coaches to pick from. The midfield is slow. And the blame lies with Ndidi. Yesterday, he was one of the best players on the pitch. But he was slow. As usual. His game has become much slower over the last 3 years or so. The main reason you don't hear his name mentioned with clubs like Man United and co anymore. I think he has become a bit complacent at Leicester. A move to say Spain or Italy might help him..

Then there is the dodgy defence. Bassy was really hungry and eager to get the win. You could see he put in his best. Ekong is always committed but was a tad slow. Most of them started getting tired towards the end. Ola Aina was gasping for air, and I think the coach should have thought of defending that goal, rather than thinking of scoring more at that point. My problem with the midfield is that much of the younger alternatives like Uche at Getafe are as slow as Ndidi.

We need more combative "enforcers" in the midfield. Onyeka comes to mind. I don't know why he was not invited. Injured? Lots of options in the defence across the best leagues in the world. Salisu should be recalled. I think the new coach should scout for more. You can't blame the coach anyways. He is pretty new to the fold.

Maybe Nigeria should allow more serious teams to feature in the CAN. until we get serous too. It’ll be more annoying to reach the competition and still flop.
You are very correct. Look at teams like Comoros and Cape Verde. Look at their fighting spirit, but Nigeria is here misbehaving. Everybody in the team wants to score. All our defenders want to score. What sort of nonsense is that?

We can qualify if South Africa loses to Lesotho, Zimbabwe and us.

Losing to us is possible. Losing to Lesotho and Zimbabwe? No. Infact if we beat south Africa and they draw against Zim and thrash Lesotho, we are out.
These are permutations.

Nigeria will not qualify.

Mark my words!

Isn't the language part of the slavery? If I should converse in my tongue the first thing that comes to your mind is "He is an illiterate"

Let's leave the argument here... Is impossible to cure mental slavery and religion.

Funny the fact you think modern day slavery has to do with work or profession.

On the other hand, are all the skills not needed in my fatherland? Can I be all of those in my fatherland?

Slavery starts from thinking a Whiteman land is superior to yours... That's the first step of slavery and the worse of it all, because it is mental.
Slavery is when you box yourself in a corner and think it's only when you remain in Nigeria that you are free. I stand on the fact that you might even be enslaved there in Nigeria but have an illusion that your are free simply because you are in your country of birth. Slavery is in many forms. You have to be a deep thinker to understand my line of argument. Tell a Doctor who makes Twelve million per annum in Nigeria, relocates to Canada, becomes licensed and starts making $350,000 (400 million naira) per annum, to return to Nigeria and use his skills, and see the response you ll get. Bro/Sis, free your mind and explore life to the fullest. BTW, I worked in upstream oil and gas at various levels before leaving and I can always return when I want. It's just good to have options. If you relate with people at the top in Nigeria, you will ask yourself why they all have their families abroad. Why do they all have a 2nd passport? Think!

Your submission still makes you a slave to money... If I ever wish to relocate to any Whiteman land, seeking money or "better life" will NEVER BE ONE OF the reason.

I travel for tourism purposes and to studies other cultures, not seeking whatever is called "better life or opportunity"

Wow! Wonderful reasons for traveling! Have you traveled to all the tourist sites in Nigeria or you don't know we have so many? Why do you need to study their culture? you want to be "enslaved" It's okay if you don't desire better opportunities but don't judge those who do. It's their choice. How convenient of you to switch your argument to "slave of money". I guess you are a slave of poverty, abi?

NFF should build a local team, with their real ages. Let them be ones playing friendly matches for Nigeria against other countries. The selection of players should be amongst the best from local league and University games. Develop the team, so they will work as team.
Bringing multimillionaires to play for the country, they see it as a favour to the country, and not a privilege. Again, they know their spot is secured, after all they can pay the coach
So true. But the Nigerian thing still rules even in entertainment ventures like sports. It’s annoying for we that love sports. It should be about entertainment, bragging rights, passion, popularity, and of course making money. But hell!! Only they know what goes on in their heads when they deliver such output to the thousands of us that spend time and resources following their mess each depressing day they make for us.

it's because we have many useless politicians/Nigerians who were elected and they won't do anything but embezzle money... So when we see someone who have done well we should praise them... It's like giving best teacher/lecturer award and u say why are they giving award, is it not their job? There's nothing wrong with praising working politicians
