Peter Obi should not have gone to the stadium. It is not just that he was there. He made an effort to make his presence known and felt.

He even gave an impromptu interview/cameo appearance for the cameras right there at the stadium. This match was about Nigeria, not him. And even if he had to go, he should have kept a low profile.

Politics and football do not mix. The players needed to be focused on the game. Politicians drain morale. It would be different if he were President. A President embodies Nigeria. Peter Obi embodies division.

Now, look at the result. A team that handily beat Rwanda in Kigali could only manage a draw against visiting Zimbabwe in their own country. At least Peter should have learnt from the possible effect his presence had at the AFCON final match when we lost to Ivory Coast.

Your entire tweet is filled with lies and a sad cry for help of an online town crier of FAKE NEWS. I will address your claims sentence by sentence with ACTUAL FACTS.

-I). First of, you said “Peter should have learnt from the effect his presence had at the AFCON final match when we lost to Ivory Coast.”

A gigantic lie Reno, Peter Obi was not at the AFCON final. In fact, Nigeria won all their matches Peter obi attended and the only one he didn’t attend was the final game against Ivory Coast, and that was the one Nigeria lost. But guess who was present in the game, your APC paymasters, Shettima and his likes.

So, by your own logic, Peter Obi’s absence and the presence of your paymasters was the real problem. So, if Peter Obi had attended, and your rigged in Shettima had gone to serve ice cream in Borno, we would have won.

LOL! This is actually a compliment. The fans made their love for him known. Unlike your failed APC politicians who needed announcers to introduce them, Peter Obi’s name echoed naturally throughout the stadium. The people made him “felt.” It is called LOVE, something nobody has ever shown you before in your entire life, not even the woman you married.

Correction: Peter Obi was already outside the stadium, in front of the doors and the parked cars, when the media pleaded with him for an interview, and as the loving person he is, he obliged. That’s called humility, something you and your political paymasters wouldn’t understand.

-IV). You also claim that the match “is about Nigeria, not him.”

But yet, you and your likes have spent your entire time talking about him than the match itself. Or the fact that your government have destroyed Sports in Nigeria.

Your tweet and the rest of your kind is just a FAILED cheap attempt at blackmail to try to exonerate the failed govt from their role in destroying Sports in Nigeria and not investing in the Super Eagles team.

Then why were APC governors and Ministers present? Why was the stadium announcer calling out their names continuously? If Peter Obi’s presence was a distraction, then what about the multiple failed APC figures who were struggling for relevance in the same stadium, using security to push the fans all around the stadium? Be consistent.

I will agree with you that “Politicians drain morale.” Yes, APC politicians drain morale. Because the evil they have done to Nigerians is too much. WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOUR FACES. That is why we recognize ONLY Peter Obi.

In fact, right after Peter Obi entered the stadium, the Super Eagles scored. The actual moment of low morale came when APC figures like Sanwo Olu and your ministers were being announced, and that was the moment Zimbabwe equalized. Because their corrupt names distracted our players. That should tell you where the real bad luck is.

History has shown that Nigeria played a wining game in every match Peter Obi attended, except for the final, which he DID NOT attend. So, if we are playing the superstition game, then the real bad luck is with those who attended the final like your Shettima.

Reno, you and your ventriloquist paymasters are only upset because Peter Obi’s presence in Uyo once again proved that the people’s love cannot be bought. The fact that his name naturally resonated in the stadium while APC figures were ignored hurts you all.
