Equifax to pay up to $700m to settle data breach!

Equifax Execs Resign; Security Head, Mauldin, Was Music Major
Departing Equifax chief security officer Susan Mauldin was a college music major, according to a now private profile, fueling scrutiny of the credit bureaus.

When there are computer science and software engineering degree holders with certificates in security and good knowledge of cyber security. That's the problem with tech when they say anyone can work in tech this allows those with connections to get tech jobs they are not qualified for. Well hackers will continue to make a public show of these organisations till they learn to get only those who are qualified for tech roles.

The best programmer I ever worked with in my life studied music at the university. He was a coding genius. Taught me everything I know.

Equifax Execs Resign; Security Head, Mauldin, Was Music Major

It looks like the news that Equifax's Chief Security Officer was a music major with no education related to technology or security was one story too many for the blighted company – Chief Security Officer Susan Mauldin has quit the company along with Chief Information Officer David Webb.

The most talented programmer I’ve ever worked with studied Computer Science. He was a true coding master, helped me to build confidence and to apply my university knowledge in computer science and software engineering to real-world projects at work.

I think that AI really makes everything easier especially for those who seek to become master in coding. But still you know there are coding languages that is kinda hard to learn but they still can be considered as super efficient for coding. I could never manage those languages and thus i simply needed to Hire Golang Developers https://digiscorp.com/hire-golang-developers/ as for me this would improve quality of my project. So i would say that there is a low barrier in every sphere of programming

This was in 2017 and it had nothing to do with her Music major. She was qualified for the role. Programmers and engineers were actually responsible for the breach.

It's like you saying someone with a music major is qualified to be the captain of a Boeing 747

Calm down. Everything isn't the same

Also you should know there are quite a few people in the US that can fly a plane and they ain't pilots. It's just an hobby to them. And what do you think is the role of a captain? To lead, similar to project managers

MODIFIED: The way some people put values for paper qualifications eh is very weird

Nothing is taught in computer science.

That lady must have a stack of strong certifications and years of experience to land that role.

Most of those certifications computer science majors can't pass the exams.

Tech is an open field.
