Apostles of "Grab and Run" politics should learn to keep quiet when the topic is about the character of the man that gave Nigeria her "FREEST and FAIREST" elections in history. They should wait for when their man Mahmud Yakubu is being discussed. |

Yes, because it is our fight. Hausa set you against us and your politicians then bought the idea from Hausa. An Igbo man called for the cancellation of the June 12th election two days before the election. An Igbo man as an inec chairman refused to announce the result of the concluded election. And you said why is Yoruba taken it up against Humphrey Nwosu... Abi won ti immortalise e ni.... Osi rada rada HonNatasha: |

Agbegbaorogboye:Nwosu should have announced the result and declare Abiola the winner of the election. May his soul RIP. It was years after under Jonathan or Yardua he eventually announced the full result and declared Abiola the winner. He should have rush the result because he already had the full result with him. He should have called out the full result and declare MKO as the winner of the election. |

Yoruba people said June 12 1993 presidential election was the freest and fairest election ever conducted in Nigeria and yet they do not want to honour the same man who conducted the election. |

Ikaeniyan0:Shey olodo ni e ni? How will he announce results of an election that all the official results were not in yet. It remains one or two states but officially it has to be when all is in before it can be announced. If he does when all results were not in yet,it nulifies the election The Military told him to stop the on going process of result annoucement sacked him and his entire team and you think it is beans? As in dealing with Babaginda and Abacha is a joke to you right? Abeg where will he announce it? In Nigeria or where? You want him to die? Those who fought then against Abacha then were abroad o. None of them stayed here. Those who stayed went under sergeant rogers bullet. I am not for or against giving him a National honour or something else. But saying he should have declared Abiola the winner in the face of warnings by Abacha is nonesensical and suicide |

Immortalise nonsense. Someone that was not brave enough to announce the winner of an election he personally conducted. We support rubbish tomuch in this country. Prof. Jega is the only electoral commission chairman that deserves immortalisation in the history of Nigeria so far. |

If not a lack of empathy or sensitivity why would someone in their right mind ask to immortalise Abacha, Babangida, those who refused to announce the election, those who called for the election to be annulled, those who killed Abiola, those who killed the protesters, those who killed Kudira Abiola, or anyone who superintended over a very dark period that June 12 1993 was. The audacity of continuing to open old wounds when what heals is the ability to move on. |
