Advantage And Disavantage Of A Divided Nigeria by dharamanil(m): 12:32pm On Jan 10, 2014
As a student of political science, I have listened and read about how people clamour and agitate for a divided Nigeria.

My question is what will be the advantage and disavantage of Nigeria dividing? I was chatting with father on the issue, but I was surprised cos d disadvantages was far higher than theadvantage...

ODUA STATES ON MY MIND.
No disadvantages.
Advantages

1 Unemployment rate and inflation reduced to single digits within 18 months.
2 an instant increase in the standard of living.
3 A realignment with our natural partners on the western coast of Africa
4 a tax based system like it used to be ,thereby making the government and the people closer.
5the highest number of citizens with critical thinking faculties.
6a socialist society that guarantees everybody a stake in the society.
7educational system driven by ability rather than a foreign language.
8 the live and let live attitude and respect for knowledge ,education and intelligence would ensure that odua states will vacuum all the best brains in west Africa and probably sub Sahara Africa .

Economy

7a tourism industry as a result of better security that will ensue.eko Atlantic and all the beaches ,hills ,waterfalls, rivers, forest will play a big part.
8 badagry duty free zone ,olokola OKFTZ,LEKKI FTZ will position the odua states as the natural administrative base /brain box for Africa oil and gas industry.
9mineral- kaolin , aluminium, charcoal, gemstones, diamonds, gold, granite etc will play a minor role.
10 brain industry gives a chance for an IT related industry growing
11a visible path to full industrialisation will be apparent within 2 yrs most especially the steel industry.
12.large parts of our cities most especially Lagos ,will be regenerated and returned to the natural state like the lekki conservation centre.
13a market access and trade driven foreign policy with emphasis on exports and heavy duties on importation .
14 A leverage on the penetration of yoruba culture into the Americas an Europe ,as a vehicle for enhancing the Odua nation

FORIEGN EXCHANGE SOURCES- Reparation,tourism,trade,solid minerals
Government revenues sources- TAXES
System of government - parliamentary.
Sub units- autonomous mayoralty
Citizenship- the town or village of birth

The day nigeria breaks is the day the people who live in it will taste what real nations look like.

The people don't like each other. Ethnicity, nepotism and religiius interests take the front bunner, with different tribal interests competing with each other and holding the country. Yet you think the country can make any headway?

For how long will yorubas pretend to love the hausas and Hausa pretend to love the Igbos all because of resources. 200 years? 500 years? We shall see how long you zoogerians can keep deceiving yourselves.
